Town have received permission to open the top tier of the new North Stand for next Monday's game against Chelsea. 2,539 more seats will be available, taking Town's capacity to about the 28,000 mark.

Town have announced the squad for Tuesday's reserve match away at Derby County (KO, 7pm). It's a fairly young squad with young keeper Lewis Price in line for a second reserve game.

Former Town man Ian Marshall and Blues' loanee James Pullen have both won LDV Vans Trophy medals. Marshall was in the Blackpool starting line-up which beat Cambridge 4-1 at the Millenium Stadium today while Pullen was a non-playng sub.

Nigeria manager Adegboye Onigbinde says that Finidi's chance of making the World Cup has not yet gone. The Town midfielder was left out of Onigbinde's squad for this week's friendly with Paraguay at Loftus Road.

Town defender Chris Makin will be out for a couple of weeks after injuring his ankle in a challenge with Darius Vassell in the draw with Aston Villa. Jermaine Wright took over from him at right-back.
