QPR manager Harry Redknapp says on-loan striker DJ Campbell could still have a future at Loftus Road, despite his lack of involvement since he joined the Premier League’s bottom club in the summer of 2011. Campbell has made just three starts and nine sub appearances for the West London club since his £1.2 million move from Blackpool.

Striker Daryl Murphy says it would be brilliant if Town could keep DJ Campbell at Portman Road beyond the end of his loan on January 5th. The QPR man has now scored eight goals in 12 games for the Blues, netting two in Saturday’s 3-0 victory over Millwall in which Murphy, who is on loan from Celtic for the season, scored the other.

Former Blues boss Paul Jewell says he’s delighted that his successor Mick McCarthy has got Town moving in the right direction. The Liverpudlian, who left Portman Road by mutual consent in late October, was sounded out about his potential replacements by owner Marcus Evans.
