Roger Osborne, the man whose goal won the FA Cup for Town in 1978, is also on the show, as is ex-Blues and Hull goalkeeper/radio pundit Lee Bracey.

The Blues manager says that having initially viewed the job as a long-term venture when he took over from Roy Keane a year ago, his thoughts turned much more towards a quick-fix during a close season in which he signed predominantly experienced veterans.

Ipswich Town Ist, the Town Supporters Trust, have called on the club to "put Town’s Academy first" and confirm that they will be opting for Category One status. The Premier League’s Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP), which was ratified in October, although with Town voting against it, means Championship clubs will have to decide whether they opt for Category One or the cheaper, lower status Category Two.

Jewell has already approached the Foxes regarding St Ledger, who he targeted when he was at Preston last January, again in the summer and with whom the Blues were linked yesterday.
