Boss Jim Magilton says the Blues will be out for revenge when Sheffield Wednesday visit Portman Road on the first day of the new season, Saturday, August 11th. The Town manager, a former Owl in his playing days, is glad to be starting 2007/08 at home, but expects a difficult first month.

Town will face Sheffield Wednesday, one of manager Jim Magilton's old clubs, at home on the opening day of the season on Saturday, 11th August. After taking on the MK Dons in the Carling Cup in midweek, the Blues travel to Plymouth the following Saturday.

Tottenham have made a late bid to snatch former Town striker Darren Bent away from West Ham. Spurs are reported to have made Charlton an undisclosed offer for the striker, who last night seemed set for a £17 million move to Upton Park.
