Keeper Lewis Price says he is determined to regain his place in the Town first team after being left out against Portsmouth in the FA Cup on Saturday. The Wales international was fit again having missed three games with a groin problem but boss Joe Royle stuck with 18-year-old Shane Supple.

Midfielder Kevin Horlock has been told he will not be offered a new deal at the end of the season. The 33-year-old, who was previously with Joe Royle at Manchester City, will be allowed to leave Town on a free transfer should another club show interest during the transfer window.

Cardiff striker Alan Lee is set to sign a contract with the Blues later today. Town have agreed a fee with the Bluebirds believed to be in the region of £100,000 as well as personal terms with the Ireland international.

Central defender Gerard Nash has joined Hartlepool United on a month's loan. The Blues are keen for the 19-year-old Irishman gain some league experience.

Former Town trialist Arthur Gnohere is reported to be trying his luck at French club Istres. The ex-Burnley and QPR man spent time with the Blues before Christmas and his return to France would suggest that Town have ended their interest in the defender.

Boss Joe Royle has confirmed our earlier report that Aidan Collins, Liam Craig and Cathal Lordan will not be retained at the end of the season. It is our understanding that Craig is already interesting SPL side Falkirk and Lordan could join Gillingham for a trial spell.

Irish central defender Gerard Nash could join Hartlepool or another lower league club on loan to gain experience. The 19-year-old's progress has been held up by a series of knee injuries but is still rated very highly at Portman Road.

Icelandic keeper Óskar Pétursson was red-carded for a professional foul in the 12th minute as the U18s were thrashed 6-1 at West Ham on Saturday morning. With no glovesman on the bench, full-back Sammy Moore took over in goal. Charlie Sheringham netted for the Blues.
