FA Cup final goalscorer Roger Osborne was amongst thousands of holidaymakers evacuated when the Mexican resort of Cancun was battered by Hurricane Wilma. Osborne, now safely back at home in Rushmere, was on a two-week break with wife Margaret, his brother David and his wife Pat.

Various tabloids are again reporting that West Ham pair Carl Fletcher and Gavin Williams will be joining the Blues on loan. Town made an enquiry regarding Fletcher prior to his recent spell with Watford, while Williams was first linked with the Blues back in August.

Midfielder Owen Garvan has failed to make the squad for Saturday's trip to Brighton due to the ankle injury he picked up in the Coventry game. Garvan was hopeful he would be OK but joins Kevin Horlock (ribs) and Ian Westlake (ankle) on the sidelines.

Town are trying to tie up the signing of Norwegian Vemund Brekke Skard as soon as possible but he is not likely to be involved against Brighton on Saturday. The 24-year-old midfielder has decided to accept the Blues' offer of a deal until the summer of 2007.
