Boss Joe Royle has confirmed that Swindon striker Sam Parkin is his number one target to replace Shefki Kuqi. The Town manager is keen to pair Parkin with 31-year-old former Reading frontman Nicky Forster next season.

Striker Shefki Kuqi is reported to be on the verge of signing a deal with Premiership Blackburn Rovers. The out-of-contract frontman told the Blues last week that he would not be remaining at Portman Road, Town subsequently withdrawing the offer of a new two-year deal.
