Wolves boss Mick McCarthy says he is optimistic that his side can beat the Blues at Molineux in Saturday's crunch play-off clash, despite their 1-0 derby defeat to West Brom on Tuesday evening. McCarthy felt the result flattered Tony Mowbray's side.

Boss Jim Magilton has paid his respects to the victims of the Hillsborough Disaster on the 19th anniversary of one of football's most tragic days. Magilton, then a Liverpool trainee, was at the FA Cup semi-final between the Reds and Nottingham Forest as 96 fans died in the crush on the Leppings Lane End terrace.
