A last-minute Matt Richards volley salvaged Town a 1-1 draw in the first pre-season tour game against Dutch side Willem II. The Tilburg-based club had gone ahead earlier in the second half through ex-Spurs man Mounir El Hamdaoui.

Friday's pre-season tour game with FC Brussels has been cancelled and a replacement fixture with Dutch club FC Dortrecht has been arranged (KO 7.30pm local time). The Brussels match already replaced the original game against St Truiden which was called off last month.

Rangers defender Bob Malcolm is once again being linked with a move to the Blues. A Town representative is reported to have been impressed when watching the 25-year-old central defender or midfielder in action in a friendly against Clyde on Saturday.

The Town squad flew out on Sunday afternoon for their pre-season tour of Holland and Belgium. The Blues play the first of their three matches against Martijn Reuser's old Willem II side this evening (KO 7.30pm local time).

Finnish U21 international midfielder Marko Kolsi will be joining the Blues on the tour of Holland and Belgium. Kolsi, 21, has been with tonight's opponents Willem II since 2004 but spent time on loan at Gus Uhlenbeek's old club TOP Oss towards the end of last season.

Town's friendly with Lazio on Friday, 28th July is not thought to be under threat despite the Rome club's demotion to Serie B due to their involvement in the Italian match-fixing scandal. The game is one of two friendlies agreed as part of the deal which saw Matteo Sereni join Lazio in the summer of 2003.

Academy striker Jordan Rhodes will miss the beginning of the season after the injury sustained towards the end of last night's friendly at Framlingham was revealed to be a broken collar bone. Rhodes scored twice along with Billy Clarke to give the young Town side a 4-2 victory at Badingham Road.

Strikers Billy Clarke and Jordan Rhodes both scored twice as the reserves defeated Framlingham Town 4-2 in a pre-season friendly. The game was a testimonial for veteran Fram defender Neil Whatling.
