Fans United for U's Fri 18th Mar 2005 09:31
Cambridge Fans United, the Cambridge Supporters' Trust, are inviting all football fans to the Abbey Stadium for their League Two match against Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday.

Fans from all over the country are being invited to attend the Cambridge game in a bid to raise some funds for the cash-strapped U's, as well as to show solidarity with other financially troubled clubs.

Town chairman David Sheepshanks has paid tribute to former manager Bill McGarry who died earlier today. McGarry managed the Blues between 1964 and 1968, taking Town to the old Division Two title.

Former Town manager Bill McGarry has died at his home in South Africa after a long illness, he was 77. McGarry led the Blues to the Second Division title in 1967/68.

Town's U18s eased their way into the semi-finals of the FA Youth Cup with a 5-0 thrashing of Colchester United at Layer Road. The Blues dominated from start to finish with the goals coming from Darryl Knights (2), Aidan Collins, Liam Craig and Billy Clarke.
