David Sheepshanks says he was "thrilled" with last night's near 22,000 Portman Road crowd for the U19 international with Germany. England won 3-1 with Town's Darren Bent one of the stars of the night.

Darren Bent was unsurprisingly on top of the world after his two-goal salvo helped the England U19s beat Germany 3-1 at Portman Road last night. The Town striker was awarded the Man of the Match prize while team-mate Matt Bloomfield was also happy to have been involved.

Ashley Nicholls has become the eighth Town player to go out on loan. Ipswich-born Nicholls has joined Ryman's League Canvey Island, initially for a month.
