Town got back to winning ways with a mainly comfortable 3-1 victory over Bradford. A Shefki Kuqi stunner put the Blues ahead before a not uncharacteristic defensive howler gifted Bradford an equaliser. Ian Westlake scored almost immediately and Darren Bent added a third in the second half.

Town chief executive Derek Bowden has revealed that should the Blues get promoted at the end of the season, manager Joe Royle will be given a war chest to spend on strengthening the squad. Bowden also says that if Town remain in Division One there will be no need for enforced sales in the summer.

Former Town full-back Neil Thompson has been sacked from his position as manager of Third Division Boston United. Thompson had been boss at York Street since July 2002.
