Former Town midfielder and TWTD columnist Simon Milton launches his new regular Ipswich Town Nights at his bar on Monday evening. In attendance will be Matt Richards and Darrens Ambrose and Bent while there will be another chance to watch the second half of Town's 3-2 win against Sheffield United.

Town were well represented at Dale Roberts' memorial service at St Augustine's Church this morning. The entire squad, academy and board were all in attendance along with a number of ex-employees of the club.

Town chief executive Derek Bowden says that the Blues' planned share issue will not take the same form as Norwich City's recent attempt to bring in investment. The Blues were keen to progress a share issue back in the autumn but were advised not to at the time by their lawyers.

Wrexham manager Denis Smith has dismissed suggestions that Town are one of two clubs keeping an eye on striker Andy Morrell. Spurs have also been linked with the Robins' leading scorer.

Both Town's senior Academy sides are at home on Saturday, the U19s against Crystal Palace (KO 11am) and the U17s against Sheffield Wednesday (KO 1.30pm).

Town are reported to have rejected a £2.5 million bid from Newcastle United for Darren Bent and Darren Ambrose. Bobby Robson's club have long been claimed to have an interest in Ambrose while it is little surprise that Bent is attracting similar attention.
