Richard Naylor netted from the spot in the final minute to earn the Town 2000 side a 3-3 draw in his testimonial. Alan Lee and Danny Haynes put the current Town team two up before Jermaine Wright and Marcus Stewart levelled. Haynes netted a penalty and Naylor fittingly completed the scoring. |

Boss Joe Royle felt the Blues should have been awarded a penalty shortly before Michael Hughes scored Crystal Palace's second goal in their 2-0 defeat of the Blues. Tony Popovic had appeared to handle Gavin Williams's cross but referee Andy Woolmer felt it hit the Australian on the chest. |

Town's dismal season continued as Crystal Palace left Portman Road with a 2-0 victory. Jon Macken put the visitors ahead in the first half and Michael Hughes added the second from 35 yards after the break. Late on, Macken and Ben Watson both saw red but the Blues rarely looked like scoring at any stage. |

Former Blue Darren Bent has been included in the England squad for their World Cup qualifiers against Wales and Northern Ireland next week. Should the striker play in either game, Town will receive further cash on top of the initial £2.5 million fee agreed with Charlton when the 21-year-old moved to the Valley in June. |
