Central defender Jason De Vos is back in the Town squad for Saturday's trip to table-topping Sheffield United. The Canadian is likely to return to the side after cracking ribs in the opening day of the season home victory over Cardiff City.

Town's reserves lost 3-1 at Fulham's Motspur Park training ground on Tuesday night. Dean Bowditch scored for the Blues from the penalty spot in the 76th minute to put Town back on terms after Heidar Helguson had put the home side ahead but the Cottagers netted twice more late on through Yinka Casal and Helguson again.

Town have asked the Football Association of Ireland to release keeper Shane Supple from their U19 squad playing two friendlies with Bulgaria later in the month. The Blues want the 18-year-old at the club for the Carling Cup tie at home to Yeovil on Tuesday, 23rd August.
