Hartlepool have confirmed that Town have shown a firm interest in midfielder Tommy Miller while yet another Belgian also appears to be interesting the Blues and stories are once again suggesting Town interest in ex-Norwich man Darren Eadie.

Town chairman David Sheepshanks has said that Town have turned down Leicester’s bid for James Scowcroft, thought to be around the £3.5 million mark. However, it seems this is not necessarily the end of the matter with further developments likely. Sheepshanks has also said that Town themselves have two bids in at present, although he wasn’t giving any names. One of these is likely to be Hartlepool’s Tommy Miller.

Paul Goddard has decided to accept the offer of the first team coach's job at West Ham. Town's assistant academy director made what he described as a very difficult decision to become Glenn Roeder's right-hand man at Upton Park.

Reports this morning say that Town and James Scowcroft have held clear the air talks and that the club well aware of Leicester's interest in the striker. Neither seems keen for the West Suffolk man to leave, but usually reliable sources have told TWTD that a deal with Leicester could well be in the cards.
