Great game both teams very good, I think we just about deserved it.

Great result for Town against a much improved Sheffield Wednesday. At last pace in the side with the addition of two exciting wide players Maitland-Niles and Fraser and with Sears continuing his electric form of last year gives us the chance to play a far better brand of football.
Murphy was last years hero, grabbing goals as we played hoof-ball, but will again have to adjust his game to the new 'football approach' of which McGoldrick and Pitman are more suited.
Finally a special mention of Smith, much maligned, scored the winner and made it his task to control the 'man mountain' Nuhiu when introduced with much aplomb.

THat was good all round performance. Great to see how effective our new wide men are with both Fraser and Niles having good games. They may have had the edge on possession but Town were more effective.
Need to have someone who can score from freekicks, maybe Jonas will step up! His throwing was awesome!!

We need a better keeper. The Owls keeper kept them in it, just like Stevenage's keeper. Every time the ball gets inside our 18 yard box we look vulnerable and Bart was again found wanting. Hopefully one of the 2 people we are supposedly targetting will be a top keeper.

a very good game and Sheffield surprised me on how well they kept the ball but without posing much of a threat, a poor goal given away again and from the right again but Tommy more than made up for it with his contribution in the second half. Ryan and Ainsley look a handful out wide and its good to see us playing attacking passing football. Freddie was a real threat again and deserved his goal Murphy steady and deserves a goal, not convinced by the substitions thought it was a strange one tactically having all 4 strikers on the pitch but what do I know

Great start to the season. We could easily have had 6 points, have progressed in the cup, started the season at home in the manner we ended it and have to take so many positives.

A cracking save from Bart at the death. For me he isn't the long term answer for a team challenging for promotion. He's an average championship keeper but as long as he's in between the sticks he has my backing.

Defensively we didn't appear to be put under too much pressure for all Wednesday's possession but that was largely down to how good we were. Chambers and Smith both looked to be caught out at times, Wednesday hit the post, got in down or right again for the goal and could have scored were it not for a fantastic tackle from Skuse, but you have to bear in mind that Wednesday look a pretty decent side going forward aside from a clinical striker perhaps.

They will cause lots of teams problems and we did well generally. On the other side of the coin we could have had 4 or 5. Two cleared off the line, one great stop from Sears, Fraser missing another good chance. We do look capable of dishing out some hammerings.

AMN was immense but knackered by the end. Fraser was also superb and got the sort of yellow card that you shouldn't love to see but it was exactly what Smith should have done at Brentford for the first goal. It would have been a red for Smith I know but we would probably not have conceded two and perhaps because it was 2-0 that played on Tommy's mind.

Sears was unplayable. Murphy was quiet although did a decent job. We have to bear in mind he's so heavily targeted now that two defenders always jumped with him. This is what is allowing Sears, Fraser and AMN to find space.

Decent performance, good atmosphere, great noise from a large and decent away following. Wednesday will be a top 10 side. Jaoa, Lopez and Matias were all very impressive.

Referee was truly abysmal, which is always easier for people to believe when you've won.

8/10.
