Painful to watch as Hull arrived with 6 single deckers and 4 double decker buses. Only a moment of brilliance from Matusiwa after subs Mehmeti and Davi’s combined split the sides. It should’ve been more. After a swift break, with Hull having to venture into the Ipswich half for a change, Burns laid out on a plate for Clarke who was thwarted by a stunning save by Pandur, with the rebound rattling the post from mere inches out.

It’s 3 points against a rival, and 12 games unbeaten at home ahead of Leicester’s visit on Saturday

Many people didn't rate our performance last night but i thought it was a good display against difficult opponents. To many fans sit back and expect the goals to flood in the net might be why the atmosphere is not great at Portman road at the moment. As for Clarke's miss i think the ball was on him quickly than he thought and he snatched at it there was plenty of space to the right of the keeper it wasn't a great save. Matusiwa was man of the match for that great goal but he was caught in possession more than usual i think he was targeted by Hull as one of our best players.

It was still exciting to watch despite Hull City Tigers parking the bus. This time we managed to find a way to get the ball in the net against an excellent keeper. Matusiwa and Nunez were the outstanding articles as the Tractor Boyz really put a shift in. The support and singing throughout was brilliant. Nice thing to watch is that despite desperate efforts from Hull we were not forced into another ridiculous mistake at the back as there was no chance of letting them back. Much better return for our efforts as the substitutions proved again to be effective.

Yes very good performance against difficult side wanting to play deep and rely on counterattack. Thought O’Shay had good game and showed he can bring the ball out. Too often he slows the game down so maybe he’ll get forward more often rather than allow opponents to regroup. His heading is the best whereas Kipre not so.
So happy for Matusiwa just goes to show he’s got it in him! Subs made a big difference.

I thought Hirst was better than he has been recently.
Clarke was back to his frustrating level, loses the ball far too frequently going forward but was actually much better defensively albeit with a couple of very strange hearts topping moments.
Furlong concentrated on defending more which I much preferred but he hits the deck too easily and creates problems when he then doesn't get given a free kick.
I thought Taylor & Matusiwa were excellent and the two centre halves were pretty good along with Greaves.
Egeli almost ok... frustrating though he was, he saw a lot of the ball and did get the ball to a teammate mostly.
Subs were pretty good i.e. Mehmeti, Davis and Azon, but Neil must've put his boots one the wrong feet as he had a mare, just couldn't get up to the speed of the game.
Burns and Walton were all right, pretty solid doing their jobs.
Ref was pretty good again, didn't whistle for everything and didn't take too much back chat.

There have been some silly comments about Hull's tachtics The are comming to play a team with an excelent home record so they would be happy with a draw and even happier is they could steal an away goal ( as they did in their pevious away match ) and they were nearly ssuccessfull .
Hull are a good team with an excelent manager and they might well get promoted via the plaayoffs.
