Well Jackson completely screwed everybody's evening up, and probably gave Lambert a stay of execution.
Dozzell in particular was hopeless, I'm sorry but I don't see the hype around him, a little boy in a man's world! and Ward was very poor too.
Thomas worked hard, Woolfie and McG were OK. Edwards an OK first half but disappeared. Holy was pretty sharp, alert and did a sweeper type role fairly effectively.
Poor, as always. Embarrassing....

Should have sold Dozzer when we had the chance - and he wasn’t the worse player.
It’s just that he never seems to live up to the hype, and he’s hardly a kid now.

Players put a shift in

I dont think Dozzell is hopeless....but hes not a defensive midfielder...too many fouls and bookings. If his best attribute is passing then he should be further forward. Players seem uncomfortable with tactics/formation.

Please......Lambert out and someone who can put players in a correct formation and get the most out of them

Jackson let everyone (who wanted us to win) down
Get rid
The rest could not be faulted for effort
Particularly in defensive and middle third we looked good
Still virtually no goal threat and that is worrying
Sears and Drinan both need a partner and without Norwood there's not much help

A battling performance BUT never looked like scoring. We have to score goals to win. Does the manager not realise this? What a numbskull is Jackson. Not good enough for the Championship & now League 1 sadly. If the team could put the effort in with two strikers at least every game, if the defence could stay solid each week, if we had a manager the fans could have confidence in. There's still half a season left? The fans have had so many years of disappointment and realistically the club continues to go backwards. Something needs to change & quickly!

Not sure why people have a problem with Dozzell - had a pretty decent game and starting to take up more forward and threatening positions. If the goal was the problem, the person who should've been marking Wyke was Woolfenden who went awol at a key moment.

Jackson's one of many players who are not interested in playing for the club these players must be moved on. Unfortunately Lambert's not really bothered he's just waiting for the big payoff. Agree with most people on here Dozzells just not up to it physically don't know what he really offers to the team.

For the first time I can remember, all our players scored more in the ratings than the opposition except for Jackson. Like almost all teams in this awful league, Sunderland were no great shakes so with two strikers this game could have been won. For once I thought the subs were right and the team pulled together.

Dozzell & Bishop in more forward mid roles. Drinan and Sears up front - at least while no-one else (e.g. Norwood) is available. Someone else to take Dozzell's place in holding role - McGavin hasn't done badly when called on. Edwards on left, Thomas on right. Woolf and McG central backs. Sorted! (Apart from RB and LB, and here I don't have a ready solution).

How did Jackson reach 3.5?

Quilterstown
I don't know about Jackson but how ever did Chambers and Ward get 5.7 and 5.6 respectively and only just over 0.5 below the 5 midfielders and 2 CBs who worked their socks off closing down, chasing lost causes and winning numerous important headers !!!
