Evans on Relegation, New Arrivals and the Promotion Challenge
at 11:58:27

This is what a "normal" owner has to deal with, balancing the books for infrastructure upgrades, non-playing staff and the academy. Its not just about throwing cash at a manager a and squad of players. The stark reality is we simply don't have the finances to be a sustainable football club if we start throwing money at new signings. I think this will be the case for a long time, unless an unbelievable crop of youth players emerge or we get taken over by a silly rich owner.

Norwich City 3-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 14:23:52

We lack cutting edge and unfortunately got punished by their only 3 shots on target. That said, I loved the passion and robust challenges flying in. Harrison looked promising, Judge lively and Keane tirelessly won headers. I think the core youngsters in our squad make for a promising rebuilding job. This season is over but Lambert with Downes, Bishop, Harrison, Sears, Lankester, Nydam etc I think there are promising times ahead. Keep the faith ITFC!

Leeds United 2-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 22:08:07

Poor signings, unbalanced squad, unsure on best XI, unsure on tactics, uninspiring football and propping up the table. I think Millwall final chance as in isolation and an away defeat to Leeds is not a bad result.

Birmingham City 2-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 20:11:46

Would definitely have taken a point and scoring two goals beforehand. However, to throw it away is a real disappointment. Their first goal was so simple. In the end, lucky to cling on thanks to a great Gerks save.

Positives: point, goals, Nolan, Edwards, Jackson
Negatives: throwing lead away, midfield quite static and Nsiala about a useful as a marzipan dildo.

Town Again Linked With Accrington Striker
at 12:19:08

@bressinghamblue - you make a good argument and I completely agree PH is trying to bring in players that fit into his blueprint. However, I struggle to see how selling somebody who scored 16 goals and clearly is a quality player would be of benefit. Why can't we go for players like the Accrington chap and keep waggy? Its not like waggy is an MM attritional hoof ball player akin to Jonathan Douglas. We've already made close to 5mill from selling an average defender and an academy player plus no longer have Dave Mc on our books. Surely we don't need the money.

I am all for this as a signing but ideally south side of £1mill in case he turns out to be a flop! However, my bigger concern is selling Waggy. Do we really think we can get a better player than him if we sell him? Would it not make more sense to offer him a new deal? I would rather he left on a free in a year's time than see him go to Derby etc and help them get promoted. Where did selling Mings, Cresswell, Murphy or Wickham get us?!

Pitman and Bru Can Leave Town
at 18:45:51

Even if a decent finisher, Pitman could slow down a ruddy funeral so good to get rid of him. Enjoyed the continental signing of Bru from Bulgarian giants Levski Sofia - that tickled my Football Manager genes, so sad to see him go.
