I'm sure he's half decent, still young and a good price. Could see such a player doing well for us, a creative midfielder is one of the positions we've been crying out for. However I'd love to see Bish or Williams step up and be that guy to create a spark.
Creative midfielders are all well and good but c'mon man, since Murph left we need a striker. I don't think we should even attempt at strengthening any other position before a top class striker is signed. It'll cost a few million to get a player of the level we need, so if Evans supplies the funds, spend it!

I've seen Skuse as a stand out performer for a few seasons now and fee he's vital in our team. That being said, it'd be harsh to drop Foley or Hyam who have both been solid in recent games, although the team performance has been fairly poor just grinding out results - which dosen't bother me as long as we win!
A point at Cardiff wouldn't be disastrous providing we pick up 6 points in the following two home games. Beat Cardiff and we stand a real chance at play offs again this year!
Murphy needs to start and Sears is wasted on the wing, while Pitman has been a real impact off the bench this season - strikers pick themselves in my opinion! Bishop has been a huge miss this season, we've needed a creative midfielder all year and with him and McGoldrick both out, I'm not surprised Mick has resulted to long ball to try and pick up points |

McShane would be a good addition but I agree that we need a natural right back; a younger player who will show hunger such as Mings has down the left this season. I like Parr in midfield personally, he provides good cover for the defenders in addition to getting forward well and helping the attack. Rudolph Austin was also mentioned, I'd see him as a good signing; a powerhouse in the middle who can hit some rasping shots!
I'll have confidence in whoever we sign as Mick and Terry seem to have a habit of getting the best out of players who at first may have not seemed a good signing. Coyb! |

McGoldrick was the only player that looked like scoring, we need more creative players like him! All the defenders were doing was lumping it up to Murphy every time and I don't think he won a single header! Sammon looked like a slightly better version of Murphy so I don't see why we finished the game with those two up front when a young, pacey goalscorer in Marriot is out on loan, give the lad a chance! Hyam was the only player who seemed to care as much as the fans did, he gave his all for the team and was rewarded by being substituted (However, Bru didn't look too bad when he came on). Mings made some good tackles but his passing was horrendous! I think he will be a good player but it's clear we miss Cresswell down that left hand side. The performance overall was average and lacked any creative spark, if their striker could finish it could have been 4 but Gerken did make a few good saves. I really hope things will improve, Norwich are top of the league and they weren't anything special which shows that we can achieve something this season if we get out act together and start to fashion some chances and score some goals! I worry that if McGoldrick gets injured again, his replacements aren't up to the job! Let's hope we beat the scum next time round, a one game loan for Danny Haynes might not be a bad idea! COYB! |
