McKenna Looking Forward to Working With Proven Goalscorer Ladapo
at 14:02:58

With reference to Freddie's goal ratio for Rotherham of 41 from 78 Starts + 45 sub appearances.

We obviously do not know how many minutes on the pitch Freddie's sub appearances were...but interesting to reference the median average substitution in the Football League is the 64th minute....so a sub would play around 32% of a full match.

If Freddie was in line with this "average" of a sub playing around 1/3rd of a full game...then it would imply that his 45 sub appearances are the equivalent of 15 Full Games. He made 78 starts...so an equivalent of 93 "full games". On that basis, his 41 goals are much closer to the GOLD STANDARD for top strikers of a goal every other game...especially if one considered that his 78 starts were not necessarily "full games" as he will sometimes have been subbed.

Derby County 0-1 Town - Match Report
at 20:38:26

My perspective on the season is this. First point is that our away form has been that of a top 2 side, while at home we have been bottom 6 material, and even 3 of the wins v Mk, Leeds and Qpr were last minute. The point is that 17k watch us at home, and 2k away, so there is a natural bias in the boards given that huge disparity in our home and away form. I am in North Yorkshire...so my games of Rotherham, Burnley, Huddersfield and Middlesborough we have been great, but are hardly representative either.

we were awful when Mick took over. He has since had no money. Despite the fact that others have spent big (Derby £25m etc etc) we are competitive. Our 3 most naturally talented players were out for most of the season, and we still finished 7th. Would even Leicester have been so wonderful if Vardy, Kante, Mahrez been injured for most of the season?

Given the cards he was dealt this season, this was creditable. If I was Mick and reading the boards, I would feel hugely aggrieved.

McCarthy: Bonkers Start, Magnificent End!
at 09:43:46

I think Evans comments place into even sharper focus how good Mick is. Mick is a genuine man, who sees things clearly and states the facts exactly as they are. He gives an honest assessment, whatever that is. When Town put in a poor performance on Saturday, Mick was fully gracious to Portsmouth, complimented them on how well they played, that they deserved to win, and was honest in his assessment of where Town were short of the required standard. Mick is always like that...sees it clearly, states in clearly.
if Evans is that delusional, how can he properly make the improvements that Leeds undoubtedly need? All that guff about "We need more quality" as if thats something he's going to do and can achieve. You and 91 other league managers with the same aim, mate.
The fact that Mick is always honest in his assessments, sees them clearly and looks to improve on them is the bedrock of why he has slowly and gradually improved our team from relegation fodder to promotion candidates
