Town Programme Sells For £1,000
at 15:16:24

I have my grandad's original matchday programme from our first ever match as a professional team (which is in pretty good nick. Other than the front and back page are separated [but still complete] it looks new!). The match was 29th August 1936 against Tunbridge Wells Rangers & he has marked in pencil "w" on the fixtures page so Ipswich clearly won, I know for sure this is a genuine programme.

ITFC then decided to join the football league and our first home game was against Southend United on 27th August 1938. I have what I assume must be an original programme from that match too, I say assume as it is in mint condition and looks like it has just come off the press!

Town Launch New Membership Scheme
at 21:29:21

As an occasional fan now (due to not living in Town and other commitments) the old scheme which I think was £30? and included a free ticket seemed fair. If I have read this post correctly I won't now have the free ticket and all I am paying for is to have priority booking. As I can probably only make 3 or 4 matches a season, in effect it will add £10-£13 per match ticket. Sad to say that is pricing me out of going now. I never thought, having followed the Town for 50 years including as a season ticket holder for 20ish, I would reach the day when I am being priced out of attending.

Season Ticket Total Just Misses 12,000 Mark
at 19:12:37

Well I tried to order 4 on Saturday and the system would not let me. I was only allowed to purchase one. My friend who wanted to sit with me had to register and hope my seat had not been sold. We tried to call the club but the ticket office was closed. One of the others in our group could not recall his user details-the message said......cal the ticket office. Eventually we did buy 4 but it was such a faff and took well over an hour. I wonder how many people requiring more than one ticket did decide to give up!

Cheers BYRNE 16. I know they usually look to close the pubs on Derby day but clearly not this time.

Co-Op Stand Home to Family Areas

No bohslegend it was when the crowd booed after he took off our most lively striker, who has been scoring goals, to be replaced with one who was unlikely to.

Jewell: Disappointed But Not Too Downcast
at 16:44:10

Well hear we are, new season, Jewells new team but same old, same old. Problems at centre half.....no flair/playmaker in midfield and an isolated striker. Haven't we heard this before?! Just how many players does Jewell have to sign and yet the basic problems with the team are still so evident. I was more than disappointed, I was HUGELY disappointed. It was just the same drivel I've watched for most of the last 3 years. Sort it out PJ or we will have another season of boring football and you will be lucky to see the stadium even half full.

Clegg: We Got Wolves Pricing Wrong

Well I can compare like for like-Cadbury's Hot Chocolate £2 last year at PR and the self same one was £1.20 at Scunthorpe, hence I don't buy it, complete rip off!

Jewell: We Can Learn from Derby Defeat
at 13:33:01

I agree Drew, I have been so disappointed with Leadbitter and Norris all season.

As for Edwards you are right OldClactonBlue. With the formation and lack of pace we have in defensive areas when Edwards wanders into attacking positions decent teams exploit us. So often he is caught out. At full back first and foremost you need to defend-David Wright used to. Against a useful Norwich side we had a centre half at left back and a right winger at right back. We need some fullbacks Mr Jewell (probably at least 2).
