Summer stadium upgrades

I'm in the three lions lounge for Brentford game and hope that means I'll manage to get in and out of the toilet during half time.

In My Opinion - Squad Next Season
at 16:34 28 Apr 2025

The loanees will go. Muric can go too. Keep the others. I don't think there is much hope for the five out on loan, except maybe Humphreys. Maybe trigger Harness extension to get a fee for him.

We have an option and I expect we'll use it to get a fee

Hopefully he won't play again this season. Next season in the championship, his attacking attributes will compensate for his defending again.

Anybody think Delap will stay next season? (n/t)
at 18:59 14 Mar 2025

None of our players are really seasoned premier league assets. Delap's the only one who's really done well and might go, but I back us to have an all star championship side and come back up

"Big clubs"
at 16:43 20 Feb 2025

I think these "surprisingly big" clubs are ones that were once successful, have slid down the leagues, but still retain good levels of support considering where they are now.
I would never call Birmingham, Leicester , Blackburn or West Brom big, though, and haven't heard them described as such.

Portsmouth won the league in 1949 and 50 and the cup in 1939.
Their record attendance, from around that time, is over 50000.

Sheffield is considered the "home of football" and both United and Wednesday have long histories.
United won the league in the 1890s and had won the cup 4 times by the 1920s.
Record attendance over 68000.
Wednesday won the league in 1903 and 4 and 1920 and 30 as well as the cup 3 times. Record attendance over 72000.

Derby are founder members of the league, winning it twice in the 70s and the cup in 1946.
Record attendance over 41000. Currently the 3rd best supported championship side despite being in 22nd place.

Coventry XI?
at 14:27 8 Feb 2025

Not far out with this
Palmer and Taylor instead of Muric and Luongo.
Jayden and Hirst the replacements.

Coventry XI?
at 15:28 6 Feb 2025

9 of the starters from the 3rd round are still available, so may well go again as our "cup team". The other 2 were Burns and Al Hamadi, who were replaced during the game by Johnson and Hirst. That might make up the 11. Options are to give Philogene and Palmer time on the green stuff.

if we get relegated....how will the team line up by end of August?
at 22:46 5 Feb 2025

None of our players have vast amounts of PL experience or have really torn it up this season. No reason for any of them to decide to move if we dip back down for a season.

I just wonder if he will start both new players - maybe Broadhead instead?
