I think you could argue both for and against the penalty so fear that it will be upheld.
We can't keep blaming the referees for the result, its such a lazy thing to do.
What about more clinical passing, finishing, more shots on target?
Lets assume in nearly every game there will be decisions that go against us - we need to be stronger and rise above it.
One of the things I loved about the great Sir Bobby was that he was usually so magnanimous in defeat and just got on with it.
You could argue that both the penalty and sending off were in the rules so lets move on.
The week before we were outplayed by Crewe and we managed to win so its all square! |

I have never felt like this before but my interest and patience is just about done. Think I need to take a break from our lovely but tired stadium, our distant owner and journeyman management and players. So sad |

Where are our youngsters? I wouldn't mind losing if we had a team of home grown prospects....at least we would be building towards something. But to be bottom with a team of loanees and poor players is really disheartening. I was all for PH but what is he trying to achieve? The photo of Burley and Butcher in the stands started me thinking of how they would run things...core values, pride and academy stars.... |

I was really optimistic before the game but this is the first match I had seen this season and honestly I didn't see any difference between MMs style and PHs .

Honestly, comments like Brockley blues are so frustrating and reactional. I always thought Ipswich fans were patient with managers?
We have to be patient and look past these results, nearly everyone can see that we are starting to play decent football and let's not forget Bobby Robson wasn't well liked or succesful at first. I am sure I am in the minority but if we went down I don't necessarily think it would be the worst thing. If we focus on creative football and slowly blood the youth we could be laying great foundations for the future. Give the guy time, support and the freedom to fail and let's see what happens. Anything is better than the stuff we've had to watch for the last few seasons! |
