Former Boss Cook Rejoins Chesterfield
at 14:32:53

Good Luck Mr. Cook. hope you you don't sack the team you inherit at Chesterfield if they don't respond. You may think you were badly treated at Ipswich but it was you own fault for not pushing into the playoffs after picking up a team within close proximity of the top six.
Shame we couldn't get the Wigan boss when you joined but where did you pickup those amateur coaches, Liverpool dole office? However believe or not, I do wish you well, hope you learn from your mistakes and progress to L2.

Freekicks going back to the keeper, small boys in the park, jumpers for goalposts, do we need Ron Manager to give Mr.Cook some advice? Hmmm ...

Politics and Ipswich Town
at 11:17:41

Interesting article with a few mistakes; I only have time to point one out: Ted Heath didn't get elected because of decimal coins he promised to unfreeze wages and tackle the unions, the voters liked that. Although he was a twit he wasn't a posh Tory either, anyway he failed miserably! Tories and war, fair comment but Liberals were in power in WW1 and as you pointed out Tony Blair and the Iraq war, an appalling folly. So although I'm not a Tory but all parties have had a hand in cocking up government.

West Brom Match Moves for Sky
at 10:10:05

I don't have and will never have Sky, they have destroyed the Premier league, with high wages, greedy mercenary footballers and little chance for local players to progress at a high level (see England team).
Finally, Friday night football doesn't work but having said all that I will have to go to the match as I am a season ticket holder and will support the team. Overall, very annoyed.

No Extra-Time or Seeding in Carabao Cup
at 10:01:04

It's still a good competition, league clubs often beat the premier clubs and these competitions can make money for the small teams. However, maybe a bit of bitterness here because of the way Mick treated our cup matches. THE FA Cup is still magical when non-league are involved and lower league teams are drawn against premier clubs and of course the big boys don't turn their noses up when there is a chance of winning something because the main prize is out of reach to most teams.

McCarthy: Game Hinged on Poor Penalty Decision
at 10:53:20

I heard the Needham Market manager speaking on the radio, he said as there were only 5 games to play, they had nothing to lose, so would play the younger players to give them game time!

Brentford 0-0 Ipswich Town - Half-Time
at 17:16:12

Wasn't at the match but we still cannot win a game and why play the loanees? Looks like he went for the draw. Time to leave Mick, Millwall summed you up, would have preferred a boring 1-0 than an entertaining 2-2, oh dear. Come on do the decent thing and go now.

Portuguese Boss Claims Town Talks

Are we so desperate for Mick's replacement we seriously believe any old paper rubbish. Remember when Steve the Wally was lined up to take over and is he still favourite for the job, I don't think so.

McCarthy Confirms Smith Set for Colorado and Hoping to Have New Loan Signing Ahead of Bolton
at 21:52:50

Good Luck Tommy, Mick didn't handle the back 4 very well, playing you and Luke out of position to accommodate Berra. You have age on your side but the boss doesn't see that, you would be in my starting line up when fit.

Ipswich Town 0-0 QPR - Match Report
at 12:35:13

I would have put my strongest team out against weaker opposition, i.e. QPR and tried to get 3 points. Instead Mick's tactics cost us 2 points, not for the first time he made 4/5 changes for a match, it doesn't work! Take each game as it comes, a win would breed confidence for the next game. Now we go into a tough fixture against Derby where a point would be welcome and acceptable, we may even lose. QPR was winnable and why give Celina only 8 minutes of football, again poor tactics with a manager who lacks any confidence in his team.

Ipswich Town 2-2 Sheffield Wednesday - Match Report
at 01:24:34

Enjoyed the match, we should have won, Wednesday played nice football but created little. Town better side and played well, where did we go wrong? Quite simple, trying to play out time at the corner flag, we are no good at this so called tactic. Secondly whilst our forwards were doing the time wasting, I counted six of our team hanging around the centre circle doing nothing but looking disorganised, they should have been pushing up and not leave a huge empty midfield for our opponents to occupy. These are football basics, why didn't Mick get the defence organised. Park football, poor tactics cost us.

McCarthy Not Writing Off Malarczyk
at 14:46:08

Mr. Evans, I also disagree about Tommy Smith, he is a playing out of position to accommodate Berra. Long term bet is Smith who is 5 years younger and as Iaintaylorx says, Berra is inconsistent this season, I will add that Berra may have cost us points recently due to poor marking at nearpost corners, resulting in 3 goals against us and defeats in the process. Find a RB, move Chambers back to CH, Smith to replace Berra left side.

Let's see where we finish at the end of the season, in the meantime get behind the team and no sneaky boos if a mistake is made. At the end of the day, ME will decide MM's fate and none of us will have any say in the decision.

Smith International Retirement Threat Claim
at 11:04:02

Competion for places must benefit the team. We have 3 really good centre halves and as there will inevitably be injuries, suspensions, occasional international call-ups perhaps, let them fight it out for the starting 11 and the one not playing awaits their chance and then grabs it.
I still think we need a specialised RB and my preferred centre back pairing is Chambers & Smith which seemed to work well last year. Tough on Berra but you can't play everyone. Although, that said we have 3 wins in a row......

McCarthy: Ando Different Class

I think he did thread that ball through to McGoldrick against Charlton in the opening minutes. However, I will study him against Blackburn, maybe I'm missing something in his game, like how many tackles does he make, how many completed passes?
