Hi All.
I don’t post much anymore, and I am sure many of you won’t know who I am.
My name is Al, and I often create Ipswich themed stickers (or tags if you are a cool kid)
I’ve been doing it for years, making small batches and distributing them around the football world.
If you’ve seen one with “sold out social club” hidden somewhere on it, that was me. Or at least one of our lot.
Anyway, I’ve often wanted to do something different with these, and have created a fun positive Ipswich based one.
I am considering selling them for a small fee, with the main part of the profit going to charity.
The rest of the money (after costs) will be put aside to fund the next idea.

Was sat in the pub earlier, and a mate showed me a Facebook post (I know) stating that Muric to Bournemouth is a done deal.
There was a very long link in the bio, which I suggested means it’s clickbait.

I know that in reality, it’s almost impossible to keep the team together.
But let’s dream.
I would like us to ask Napoli if we can strike the deal.
Then see whether Jens wants to stay.
I would love us to keep Delap too, but let’s be honest, that’s just as tricky.
And for what it’s worth the third key cog is O’Shea, but I fear he stays in the prem too.
That said, losing those players plus a couple more should mean we can bolster well?

My suggestions were many, but my personal favourite was a turn based one.
If you have already made it to an away game, via the ballot or points system, you are not in the next ballot. Allowing those without as many points a chance to get a ticket.
So, simply, if you were successful in game one, you were lower down the list for game two. |

14 of us have memberships. No ballot success at all.
Wrote to club, got quite a terse response, more or less “hard luck”
I then explained the flaws in the system, and how to improve it.

Been signed off for a while, now need a walking stick to even stand.
Got medical assessments next week, and a bag of pills that would fit nicely in any episode of Brassic.
Positive mental attitude is now my most useful tool.
I think I might get really bored at home for a while |

Just to be clear, I don’t work at Coventry City FC, I work at a bottle factory here in suffolk.
But I have emailed Coventry and explained what happened.
Also, I’ve been signed off for a month or maybe more, as today I cannot walk for more than a minute or two.
It’s going to be really rather crap |

I have a bag full of drugs and a loving wife to look after me.
It seems it’s mostly a bad bit of muscle damage, but have more doctor visits to sort during week.
What does really add a spin on this, is part of my work is risk assessment and health and safety.
How cavalier of me to fall at my own forte. |

Hi all,
So, yesterday at the match I was heading up the steps around 25mins into first half and tripped on the top step. With no hand rail to guide myself I hit the floor pretty hard, got to my feet and carried on.
But I couldn’t carry on, I had aggravated an old back injury.
A very kind man helped me down the stairs and I was greeted my a steward, then a medical team who looked after me incredibly well.
I missed the Jack Clarke goals but amazingly was back in my seat for the second half.
I am in a lot of pain today, and am considering a hospital visit as I am currently still in Coventry, and 3 hours from home.
If anyone saw me fall (Entrance 9/10) and could identify the chap who helped please can you thank them for me.
I am afraid I cannot even describe the fellow as I was bewildered.

Thread | My weirdest take from yesterday

As I walked out of the ground, there was a sort of disagreement going on in front of me.
There appeared to be a difference of opinion about who was at fault etc.
I get it we are all frustrated, and some times it boils over.
However, the weird bit is what the final comment shouted was….
“You can all F off back to Bury st Edmunds or wherever, now we are….” I couldn’t work out the last few words, but I feel this was an Ipswich resident abusing the non Ipswich residents.
Is there a general feeling from inside the town that those of us from further afield are not as much of a part of the club?
I have lived in suffolk my entire life. My family have been Town fans before me, and I was born in Ipswich Hospital, but growing up in Halesworth, and now living in Beccles, it doesn’t make me any less of a town fan than someone based in IP1.
Welcome thoughts on this.

Hi all,
I don’t post much anymore, and I don’t go to as many away games as I used to, life has kind of taken over, like it does with many people.
I do have a few observations to share though, and I wondered if others feel the same.
Firstly, I don’t have a lot of away points, I don’t begrudge those with more than me, well done. You’ve earned these by going to all the places.
But why is it now the first comment in a conversation?
“Alright mate, my names ****, we got the 7am train and have been in the pub since 9am… so, how many away points you on then?”
Very strange, you do know being a fan is not a competition? You don’t have to prove you deserve to be here more than me, and yeah, I didn’t go to Shrewsbury or Morecambe. I would have done but the gave us about 7 tickets. I just didn’t get to go…
Also, people now tell you how long they’ve been going, without being asked.
And although I could go on, I won’t as my wife is expecting us to go out for the day as a penance for me going out yesterday, I do have one more observation.
I don’t know much about drugs and drug use, but if I had paid £30 for a match ticket, and all the travel costs etc, what does pushing a lot of white powder up your nose do? I saw it first hand during the game, and it baffled me, especially when said person then got confused and nearly cheered a Southampton attempt…
Sorry, old man nowadays. Getting all a bit too grumpy I guess.
Had a great day though, nearly lost my glasses in the celebrations, and had about 10 people massage me to say they had spotted me on the telly.

Loved it. Played it to death.
Now have a version of it on my iPad (called Ss2022 I think)
Play when I am a bit bored, still as simple and brilliant.
Yes, I play computer games and am 43, but my wife is ok with it, as it keeps me out of her hair. |
