 | News Comment | McKenna: Muric Close to Return, Slicker Set For Loan at 16:40:51
Seems the comments on here are either one extreme or the other. I am personally of the opinion that Muric should never play for my team again, and I wish the club would release him. He's a liability and his mistakes were too frequent for him to be given the benefit of the doubt, let alone be given more chances to stand between the posts. His mistakes occurred just at the point where we were starting to get a bit of traction last season, and we lost x number of points because of him. Risk him again and it could be the difference between promotion and play offs. Palmer is absolute class, and so is Walton. We don't even need Muric. |
 | News Comment | Hutchinson Exit Looking Closer as Brentford Agree Mbeumo Fee at 14:08:40
The idea that we will bounce straight back to the Prem seems to be more delusional by the day. I am certainly losing hope of that with each big-player exit. All of our best players are now gone. Of course we need a rebuild after relegation, but I'm no longer looking at a team that is automatically going to be challenging at the top. Hope I am wrong, and I hope MA and KMK and others know what they are doing. They haven't let me down yet, but I am becoming more and more worried by the day. Hutch hasn't gone anywhere yet, but it does seem likely now Brentford have a large amount of money to throw at this. I am not normally pessimistic, but what do we have left that looks like Prem quality? |
 | News Comment | Brentford Make £35m Bid But Fail to Meet Terms Ahead of Release Clause Deadline at 12:17:44
It says "Town have no intention of selling him this summer". And yet they were negotiating up until the last minute to sell him. Maybe I am missing something. Perhaps they hid the page with the small print and told Brentford at 5pm, "Oh sorry, we missed a page here, there's some clauses you didn't meet." Just basically ran the clock down. If that's the case, then that's pure class! :-) I hope Omari stays. He has been a shining talent and a player that stands out. However, we all know if he wants to leave then he will be gone soon. |
 | News Comment | Town Make New Cajuste Approach - Report at 15:48:03
Town are finally involved in a bit of skulduggery, love it! I hope it works and we sneak him out the back door and straight to Portman Road. He'd be a 46-game starter, no question. I really hope it happens, but at the moment I feel that is more hope than reality. Fingers and toes crossed, and prayers all day at the temple. |
 | News Comment | Four Early-Season Games on Sky at 11:30:09
Whatever anyone's opinion, we have to look at the positive - the revenue to the club that comes from live games. |
 | News Comment | Hutchinson on Target as England U21s Win Euros at 07:17:45
An almost trademark Hutch goal, and certainly a trademark celebration! He's been fantastic all tournament, I only hope we can keep him at PR. Back to back tournaments is an amazing achievement. Has Carsley figured out the secret to winning tournaments, and can he do it with the main team? Questions the F.A. should be asking. |
 | News Comment | New John Wark Book Now Available For Pre-Order at 20:23:35
@ David D That's funny. Did you wife return home with you or leave never to return after the event? :-) Wark was one of my heroes when I was a kid. A strange mix of John Wark, Terry Butcher, ITFC team photo, and Debbie Gibson pictures on my wall. Even my parents thought I was weird. In the end it turned out they were correct. |
 | News Comment | Tuanzebe Set to Join Burnley at 20:14:13
Gutted. When he was on the pitch in the first half of last season, we put in performances and got points. When he was out injured we seemed to lose. At least, that's how I remember it. A very tough gap to fill in our defence. I'm absolutely gutted, but I wish him all the best, he's too good for the Championship. |
 | News Comment | Tuanzebe Linked With Trabzonspor at 19:30:43
The best defender we have in my opinion. So, all of our best players are leaving for either pittance or on free transfers. If we get promoted again, we have to spend another £100-200 million on building a team and wait until Xmas for them to gel, by which time we'll be as good as relegated. Is it me, or does it feel like we are going around in circles? If we can't keep our best players, then this is what is going to happen. Although this article is currently a rumour, the fact many of our players seemingly WANT to leave says a lot for their belief in what is going on (and what is likely to happen) at Portman Road in the near future, and that is extremely worrying. |
 | News Comment | Burgess Joins Swansea at 06:41:37
Oh my... That's an absolute shocker, and I am gutted. Geographically, Swansea could not be farther away from Ipswich unless you like to swim. I wonder who he's trying to avoid? |
