@LeeJames
Did I say your opinions are different from mine?
I never mentioned your opinions because I don't read your essays.
I said you have hijacked this site and that you are a narcissist and have made it all about you.

Hirst: Unity and Togetherness Will Stand Us in Good Stead Next Season
at 07:36:19

This site has turned into the LeeJames forum.
I am done with it.
I'm sick of this negative crap on a daily basis.
@LeeJames you have hijacked this site for your own ego and narcissism and you think it's all about you.
@PhilHam could you remove this person so we can enjoy the site again because it's become a toxic wasteland.
I'll be back next season to see if anything has changed, otherwise I am on strike!
I don't need or want to wake up in the morning and read this negativity every day, it's depressing enough being relegated.

Ipswich Town 0-4 Arsenal - Match Report
at 10:56:51

I can't wait until next season.
All those people who have joined on here only because we're in the Premier League, and do nothing but whinge and slag off the team and manager, will disappear again leaving us real supporters to support our club.
I am utterly shocked at the way the comments on this site have deteriorated this season, and only because the glory hunters didn't get the glory they were seeking.
We were a League One team freshly promoted to the Championship, totally unprepared for the Premier League. I think it caught everyone off guard. Even in April I don't think most of thought it was actually going to happen.
Success does indeed come with a price. There has been nothing negative about this season, apart from a few bits and bobs. It has been a huge learning experience for everyone at the club, from supporters all the way up to the owners.
We go down, we rebuild, we come back stronger.
We will be a Burnley / Sheffield united next season, and not a Luton.
And if we come back to the Prem again, we will be better prepared and much stronger.

New John Wark Book to Mark 50th Anniversary of Legend's Debut
at 07:51:42

One of my favourite all time Town players.
Blimey, how old am I now?
One minute I'm watching players running around the pitch with shorts so high their butt cheeks are practically on show (this is the era more women started to become interested in football), and the next I'm seeing Delap smash the ball into the net.
Where did all those years go?

Delap Release Clause £30m
at 07:41:28

I thought I understood release clauses, but after reading all the comments on here I realise there are at least 23,857 different explanations for them.

@ Lee James
You are definitely 100% autistic level one (AKA Asperger's). That is an observation and not a criticism. If you didn't know that you do now. If you already knew that great, if you didn't I've just changed your life for the better. You're welcome.

Miller Slaps Wardley at Chaotic Portman Road Press Conference

Anything that brings publicity to ITFC is good business as far as I am concerned.
Otherwise I am looking at two little boys bickering in the playground.
Boxing lost its credibility a long long time ago.
I was around during the Tyson / Bruno years, since then boxers have become feminine by comparison. Other posted are correct, the so-called sport has become a WWE-style farce that uses gimmicks and huge publicity stunts to attract audiences that would otherwise not show up.

Burgess Linked With La Liga Move
at 06:58:14

Oh dear.
Burgess has been a solid and stable player for us.
What scares me is a max exodus is about to start, and we haven't even reached the end of the season.
I've got no doubt very large sums have been written on various cheques ready to swoop in for Delap. He's too good for the Championship and I'll be gutted but not surprised.
The good thing is a lot of players are here because of KMK so hopefully that will keep a few here that might normally leave.

Town Topic: Gamechanger Takeover Four Years On
at 06:51:38

Having been at Wembley in 2000 for the play off final - one of the best days of my life - and that incredible first season in the Prem... it's been nothing but decline and rot since our relegation in 2002... So for me the highlight was the promotion from League One. It felt like a huge, life-long curse had been finally lifted.
Despite our coming relegation, I still feel a lot lighter, and that has been down to Gamechanger, so I thank you (them) for everything they have done to my beautiful club.
I have no doubt they will stop at nothing until we are back in the Prem, better and stronger with experience and knowledge of how to stay there.

AFC Bournemouth 1-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 07:46:03

A fantastic win but there are some real dreamers out there.
I saw a maximum 15 points starting with a win last night, and now see a maximum 12 points from our remaining fixtures at best, and that means Wolves only need three to stay up.
A huge Man City points reduction or the biggest miracle in the history of football are the only two things that will keep us up.
I am one of the most optimistic people on here, but there comes a point where realism must take over. Our first win since last year, and only four all season will not keep us in the league. However, I hope we absolutely slaughter Wolves on Saturday and make the rest of the season a little more gripping and hopeful than going down with a whimper.

Third Time's a Charm For Town Against Forest?

We are the only team in the top four divisions without a win this year.
Depressing statistic.
Let's hope we can get a result today and Southampton beat Wolves.

Nottingham Forest 1-1 (AET, 5-4 on Pens) Ipswich Town
at 09:12:07

I thought Townsend was absolutely superb last night.
Morsy was solid, Woolfy was immense, Palmer is one of the best signings recently.
First half was very sluggish, but that was an incredible performance with mostly the B-team.
Our injury list is now so long it is very concerning, but the players that stepped up last night have shown they can do the job.
Nine superb penalties, but someone has to miss, just a shame it was us.
A great cup tie from the second half onwards, really enjoyed the game. Gutted we lost, but we need these players now to fill in for injuries and I think it's clear KMK has put an excellent squad together.
Two very close games against Forest, I think we can get a result at home against them.

McKenna: Cajuste and Phillips Not Yet Ruled Out of Manchester United Trip
at 17:03:05

Hilarious the people who come on here and pick the team, because obviously they know better.
There's a reason you are picking the team sat on a chair and there's another reason why KMK is picking the team that goes out on the field in the Premier League, after incredible back-to-back promotions. KMK is a Town legend, and always will be, even if things turn sour down the road. I will never say a bad word against him, or any player that puts on a Blue shirt.
I am honestly sick to death of people coming on here and slagging off my team.
I've said it countless times so I may as well say it again - you are not supporters of this club.

Crowdfunder For Blues Legend Stewart
at 09:12:08

@ those above.
I was at Anfield that day. It was an unbelievable goal. It was not easy to view from near ground level at the opposite end, but in my mind I can still see him waltzing through! For a split second I don't think any of us thought he'd actually scored, it was too surreal. Anfield was stunned. Shall never forget that one.
My aunt was diagnosed MND and was gone within a few years. Horrible, just horrible.
I hope Marcus will get the best care that is available.

McKenna: A Really Poor Result For Us, a Game That Was There For Us to Win
at 15:54:03

We need AT LEAST 20 points from our remaining 14 matches.
Problem is, we currently have 16 points from 24 matches.
At the same rate, we finish on 25 points and relegated.
We need to be a completely different team for the remainder of the season, but unfortunately we appear to have become worse over the last month.
I hope this result serves as a real turning point, the kick up the butt that's needed, but now I would be very surprised if we do stay up.
I remain positive.
I believe we CAN do it.
But the performances don't show that any longer :-(

Ipswich Town 1-2 Southampton - Match Report
at 17:24:34

Oh dear...
I was firmly facing forward up until now.
Now my head's turned 90 degrees, half towards a local derby next season.
We need a miracle now, I think.
The sad thing is our position and points tally appears to be down to one player's dreadful errors.
Well, we're still not out of it, I guess, but that's an embarrassing score line.
