 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 5-0 Sheffield United - Match Report at 06:51:48
To all those slagging off Philogene over the last year - that one's for you! Great performance, we look formidable in attack but still worrying in defence. The Blades are a shambles at the moment so I'd like to see us play a much better team to see where we are at, but that attacking play has been missing for such a long time and I felt a huge weight lift off my shoulders last night. Three superb goals from Jaden, he's deserved that after his struggles recently. Overall I was over the moon last night and that was a brilliant performance at times. We are finally up and running, and what a way to do it. I expect us to kick on from here and fly up that table. Roll on 5th October. |

This is hilarious. "That yellow shirt was making me throw up at half time. I couldn't wait to get away from it." I remember that Andy Marshall fiasco. I was in the centre sat outside a cafe with my town shirt on, drinking coffee with my ex. Two people came up to us, one holding a camera and the other a microphone. They started asking me questions about the transfer of Marshall, and I said that buying players from them should be illegal. I had no idea who they were. Next thing I hear is my ex's grandmother saying she couldn't believe that she saw us on the news that evening! |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Woolfy's Made It Clear He Wants to Go at 08:30:09
Mmmm not sure I like this but if he wants to leave then he should be allowed to go. Might end up being a loan move with the minimal time left, but let's hope for a bit more cash if he truly wants out. He's a great player and he's been loyal to us. Can't blame him for wanting to move on if he's not getting game time. I hope he goes to a club that he wants to go to rather than being forced to choose based on the time that remains in the window. I'll certainly miss him :-( |
 | News Comment | Town Complete Egeli Signing at 06:04:58
Wow, this is quite something. Four players in a couple of days, it's going to take some time getting used to this new team. Let's hope they settle in quickly and are all raring to go. We've got to get three points on the board today. Hopefully the atmosphere will give all the newbies the fire to fight their way into the first eleven. I won't be there, so you all must make the noise! :-) I am now actually excited about this season but we need that first win to break this cycle. |
 | News Comment | Town Confirm Azón Loan Signing at 06:11:07
OOooo I've got a good feeling about this one. We need a shark in our team. All the deals coming good at the last minute as expected. Excellent, bring on Saturday and three points against the Rams. |
 | News Comment | Town to Sign Norwich Midfielder Nunez at 06:20:06
After my previous comment I have now read the comments on here. I'm not bothered about trading players between rivals, it's giving them £10 million that doesn't sit well with me. They've got little funding and we've probably helped them out massively with this purchase. I just hope we get more out of it than they do. |

I thought Grimsby beating Man Utd was shock news until I opened TWTD. Boy will he get some stick on October 5th if he plays! Need some time to digest this one... |
 | News Comment | Egeli: I Know There's a Town Bid, Up to the Clubs to Agree at 07:23:39
Transfer window closes in five days. Get this sorted now before we have to wait until January. FC (I'm not going to try and spell that) have never seen this much money - their biggest buy was 3 million Euros and their biggest sale 3.5 million. Surprised they haven't rolled out the red carpet for MA... |
 | News Comment | Preston North End 1-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 17:07:36
Three games played, four shots on target. Three games played, two goals scored - one a penalty and one an own goal. Three games played, no goal from open play. These stats speak for themselves. All this money spent and we just can't score. We've got some of the best players in this division, so there comes a time when you have to - dare I say it - question the playing style and the tactics from the manager. I'm hoping these are early season teething problems, but at his rate we will be in the bottom three, not the top six. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-1 Southampton - Match Report at 16:06:10
It was an entertaining match but two goals scored this season - one a penalty and one an own goal - is very worrying. Hopefully we will improve, but at least we haven't lost yet. |
 | News Comment | Hutchinson: Ipswich Will Always Have a Place in My Heart at 06:48:31
I'm gutted about this. Unlike a lot of people, I'm not going to let how this ended ruin my memories of him. He was pivotal to our promotion success, and I will always be thankful to him. Great talent, I hope he improves further and lives his dream. |
 | News Comment | Town 'Close to Agreeing Fee' For Young Norwegian Star at 06:37:44
His heading abilities look flawless, based on that video. He looks like a young genius, but he might not look so good in the Championship when you consider the (not great) quality of the league he plays in. However, definitely an investment for the future - get him in, develop him, and in a couple of years let a big club come and snap him up for 5x what we paid. We seem to be getting good at that little trick! Of course, if we reach / stay in the Prem we won't need to let him go. |
 | News Comment | Town Eyeing Uruguayan International Defender at 06:50:59
Okay... well.... If Woolfy wants to leave then I have to say I am deeply concerned with the number of players that WANT to leave when KMK is meant to be the bees knees of coaches. Does this suggest things aren't as rosy as they appear? A lot of the players exiting are not going to the Premier League, so why would they want to leave if we are dead certs to go back up? Really, really concerning... |
 | News Comment | Hutchinson Travelling to Forest For Medical at 12:30:09
Thank you for some great memories, Omari. That goal against Chelsea, and that cracker against Man Utd stick out for me. A lot of people slagging him off but I will never forget, and will always have massive respect for, all of the players involved in our double promotion. Those two years were absolutely magical. Good luck young man, I hope you excel and get into the England team in the near future. I want to say again - and I have done many times - the amount of people on here making vile comments about current and past players is simply despicable. This used to be a great site with a community that was together as one. Since we got promoted to the Premier League, lots of people have joined who are just full of hate and negativity. I wish it would stop. |
 | News Comment | Broadhead Travelling to Wrexham After Fee Agreed at 12:15:53
Sad to see him go but I'm sure he'll be their main striker and be on the team sheet every match. Wrexham is certainly an exciting club to be involved with at the moment. |
 | News Comment | Como Striker Azón Set to Complete Town Loan Switch at 12:08:43
Wow that video quality looks like the 1986 World Cup! :-) A very interesting addition to our squad, I'm sure KMK will get the best out of him. Hopefully, he'll settle in quickly and also buy a hat, scarf and gloves ready for the British winter. |
