For someone who is in the legal profession I would have thought better than petulant frostiness. My point is quite clear. Is your opinion, in your personal capacity, that if she were aware of this legislation at some point prior to this event this would meet your threshold you would require to say this goes from mistake to evasion. I think it plausible that she didn't remember this information given it was 2 years ago but not sure if this is a valid defence, i also imagine Labour were in full war room mode re election campaign being imminent. I clearly didn't say if you could prove she did it deliberately did this, is that then evasion. [Post edited 6 Sep 9:07]

At this point in time we are unaware of her knowledge of this part of the law. If she were aware, and it was provable, would this change your opinion to meet the evasion threshold? Not meant as a gotcha question, pure question. |

Would you still feel that is the case of she were proven to have known that her son's trusted home was considered her till 18, for the purposes of this tax? |

Hypothetical, even if she was aware that when the beneficiary of the trust was under 18 it would be considered under her care or something of that ilc? [Post edited 5 Sep 19:12]

I find it interesting how many are defending her actions here. She has a proven record of tax avoidance, fully legal, and I don't have any issue with that. But it does show she's not adverse to getting tax advise. She set up this trust with her x husband and is a sitting trustee and should be aware of trusts and under 18s to a certain degree. Even to a degree to know it's complex. She then got the trust to buy her 25% share, which is an interesting move in itself, to buy a house outside her constituency and not overly close to London. She then hid behind court, legal advise, and her child being disabled. Not overly holding her hands up and falling on her own sword. We then find out the advise was to seek proper legal advise which was not obtained until recently and after the event. I'm no lawyer but I think a court would find that this is as close to deliberate tax evasion as one could get. And agree with some here it could just be all pure incompetence but then she should be nowhere near the top of politics. [Post edited 5 Sep 18:32]

I think i heard on talksport that Delap has scored the most goals after 10 starts in the premier league. he has 6, i think Rooney had 5, Kane might have been 5 to,. Shearer was 3 i think. Just got me thinking, you think he tops that list whilst playing for a club just above relegation, those players were all starting with very good squads around them. Very impressive if i did hear it correctly |

The only slight positive I can offer here is that most companies have debt with top tier banks. These banks have ESG policies that must be adhered to. You may see more drilling in the US but that will probably result is lesser activity in other regions of the world. Understand this isn't overly positive but hopefully not as bad as it may look on paper |

I would look at Babergh and Mid Suffolks attempt in Cork lane Hadleigh. Could have sold the plots to a developer for circa 2m but decided that they could make more by developing themselves. Problem is they don't know how to develope and are on course to make a 1m loss. Now looking to raise funds by charging extra for certain services. Government run things very rarely run well imo. That being said even the government can't be worse than the current water company fiasco. Sooner that is sorted the better. [Post edited 9 Jul 2024 8:06]

without knowing all the ins and outs. Insurance act 2015 section 13A means that if you come under any financial loss / hardship due to slow payment of a claim then the insurer becomes liable for this too. It really all depends whether they are acting reasonably and in a reasonable time frame. i would have felt that 2 months is plenty of time to ask the vet for information and conclude whether this is or is not covered under your policy but then this type of insurance is not my area Usually mentioning the insurance act gets their bum in gear |

I've heard that the stumbling block here is his salary, he got a pay bump on promotion as did a lot of the squad and therefore not may L1 teams are able to get a package that works for player and ITFC |

We competed bloody well over 2 legs with the run away winners of the Championship. I'd be quietly optimistic that we have a competitive squad for the championship. Not saying we can't upgrade positions but we are relatively young and have compted well again a to be prem team. |
