McKenna: Definitely Looking to Make Another Couple of Additions
at 19:22:33

Linkboy13 and I quote ‘ Wesley James Burns is a Welsh professional footballer who plays as a winger for Ipswich Town and the Wales national team. He can also play as a wing-back or right-back.’

Linkboy13 well he’s not a forward/striker is he? He played in midfield or wing back last season the fact he created 6 goals shows that so not sure when you last saw him play? 👀

Lapado could potentially be that with the right type of football but I’d like to see any money we do spend on a someone like a Stockton or Clarke-Harris

Norwood Holds Bristol Rovers Talks
at 12:47:59

Blues1 agree totally with your last point but he did still have 83 games in 3 league one seasons with a return of 27 is hardly prolific and that’s still an average of nearly 28 games and that makes 1 goal in 3 which isn’t bad but not a 20 plus goal a season. He needed 5 or 6 shots to get a goal I feel we need someone better. If I was choosing between Jackson and norwood I’d have kept norwood personally but only as a back up striker we need better mate

McKenna: Definitely Looking to Make Another Couple of Additions
at 12:05:21

Blueboy1981 course he knows like most managers these days they give a list of players they need to the CEO or director of football to sort finances wages etc out within the budget we have. It annoys me with a minority on here who bash Ashton as the one picking his players no manager would have that as it’s their job on the line so come on

Linkboy13 I get what you’re saying I’d have him back but I think you’ll find Wes was our most creative player last year 12 goals and 6 assists mate

Norwood Holds Bristol Rovers Talks
at 11:58:55

What makes me laugh on here is if we want to sign a striker or whatever from the same league it shows a lack of ambition yet people say because league one teams are after Norwood we should’ve kept him lol you honestly couldn’t make it up with some fans on here.
Personally he had his chance and wasn’t prolific. He didn’t show he was a 20 goal a season striker either and had a couple of seasons to show it so let’s not say he didn’t have the chance because he did but whether it was his attitude which at some moments was poor or ability which he even says himself well never know but quite clearly he wasn’t good enough for what we needed so fans need to move on

Baggott Signs New Deal
at 17:34:51

Excellent news well deserved after what I saw of him last season. Not sure where the ‘we don’t give our kids a chance’ brigade are? We’ve given some former youth players and youngsters a contract and now it’s there turn to turn the promise and potential into quality. Love how the clubs being run two early signings and players contracts being done early far cry from the likes of leadbitter Norris etc letting their contracts run down for nothing

Excellent news huge prospect. Although I’d like to hear from a minority of people on here who said we won’t or don’t give youth a chance? 👀 Giving the kids the platform is our job the rest is theirs.

Town Sign Rotherham Striker Ladapo
at 18:38:01

25 goals in 62 games in league one is decent and we now have a bit of height up front when needed. What’s not to like. Still need a potent striker through the middle as well as him so 🤞

Tranmere and Orient Eyeing El Mizouni
at 17:48:09

Again I think some on here want the kids to play just because they came through the academy. He’s 21 now and when I’ve seen him he’s looked ok that’s it and look at the clubs interested in him. I hope he comes back after the summer and really gives it a go but if he doesn’t at what point do the fans who want every academy kid to be in the first team say ‘maybe he’s had enough time maybe hasn’t realised that potential he had’

West Ham and Arsenal Eyeing Chirewa
at 10:43:58

Comparing us with Norwich on here is ridiculous the huge difference is that the players they sell on whether kids or not are proving it at the very top of the championship REGULARLY or proving it in the premier league hence they can command much more significant fees as proven at that level whereas none of our players have. The other difference from now is I don’t think Ashton is a pushover remember he’s the guy that stole Adam Webster from us for 3.5 million to sell him a year later for 20 plus.

West Ham and Arsenal Eyeing Chirewa
at 20:14:56

I see some people on here are getting over excited again and claiming he should be playing straight away when he still has a lot to do and if you think he’s going to go straight into the arsenal team then wobble your head. He’ll probably go there and not get anywhere near the first team for a few years. He has ‘potential’ there’s no doubt and I have seen him play a couple of times so could be an absolute star but he’s not hitting the heights of a Connor wickham or bent were hitting at the same age or even a Jordan Rhodes so again let’s not get too excited and expect him to play in the first team because newspapers say two clubs are interested. People are too quick to moan about kids not coming through when they actually do and have been even under McKenna if they’re good enough they’ll be in if they’re not like most players who people wanted playing but have gone off to smaller clubs then he won’t

Hughes Signs New Deal as Options Taken on Simpson and Chirewa
at 14:16:06

Highgate blue end of the day we need players to be committed and he isn’t. The people you talk about are in the past under old average managers and boards/owners. You make it sound like it’s a huge list I can think of Rhodes going to championship level that’s about it striker wise? Mcgoldrick did a job here but was always injured so who went elsewhere from this massive list of yours and played in the prem successfully?
