McKenna: Third Number Nine the Ideal But There Are Very Few Out There
at 17:15:17

I think there are very very few in English football ... surely there is a developmental striker worth 5/10M playing Internationally though that fits the mould?!

Town Among Clubs Eyeing England International Phillips
at 13:03:40

I might be on my own here but I think this would be a terrible signing.

- Ridiculously expensive
- He's potentially got a fitness/ training issue as previously highlighted by Pep calling him overweight
- A loan would mean he still has his cushty City contract to fall back on and potentially not bought in like the rest of the team

Give me a willing runner in Skipp/ Morton every day over him

Eustace: Szmodics Situation Needs to Be Sorted Soon
at 15:15:55

This is just madness for both sides. You can't help but feel they know they got taken to the cleaners with the Wharton deal and now they're trying to save face with this deal.

Clear neither side will budge so let's move on and sign him in January for half the price when he inevitably drops off the unbelievable goal-scoring pace he showed last year.

Chelsea Look Away From McKenna
at 10:38:44

Hopefully, that will ease the United's board fear that it's 'now or never' and that if McKenna stays (or even goes to Brighton! Please no) they can still get him in a year or two ....

Premier League Clubs to Vote on Scrapping VAR
at 10:51:19

Wolves have been hammered by VAR and I get where they are coming from but objectively speaking it's obviously not going to get scrapped. There has been far too much investment in every part of it (from club and league) that they will just render it useless.

Whilst the public discourse might look like they dislike VAR, the PGMOL, the Premier League and the owners of its established clubs are all looking out for each other in order to protect the asset and their assets. They are much more interested in decision making improving by 14% than what the average fan thinks of the wait time.

They just need to remove this idea that every single thing needs to be looked at extensively and then ensure that the fewer decisions that are looked at are looked at by the referee who can then make his decision based on that added information. Not the VAR just sticking with their decision whatever it is to avoid controversy/ speed up play.

Hutchinson Recalled to Chelsea
at 12:57:44

@HighgateBlue - Recalled just presumably means they have formally 'ended' the loan meaning that he can train with the Chelsea first team and as such, we won't have to pay the % salary that we would have likely been obliged to pay up until the end of May/ June had it not been ended.
