You can be a key part of a squad without being a 1st name on the sheet. He would have had more minutes if he didn’t get injured. |

McAteer was a big part of a Leicester team who comfortably won the league last time we were in it, playing for a manager very similar in style to McKenna, so to say he’s not good enough isn’t really true. He’s going to part of the squad here, it was probably too much money but he’s not a bad player.
We got noticeably worse down the right when he want off and Jaden moved to the right, as did Young after he went off as well. He’s a very similar profile to Burns. [Post edited 30 Aug 22:10]

As much as I’ve been critical of the players today it’s quite hard to counter attack a team who doesn’t want to attack you.
It worked in our last championship season because teams came at us, it’s a different kettle of fish this year when teams don’t even try to play against us. |

He’s clearly talented, has an incredible touch but everytime he gets the ball it’s so slow! There’s no dynamism or drive or urgency. It’s so predictable.
He’s supposed to be a flair player, I’ve seen very little to get me off my seat so far. |

Can anyone explain to me what he actually offers?
No pace, no creativity & no goal threat today.
Has done alright defensively in a couple of games but on the whole he’s mostly got in Davis’s way and slows everything down. Some of the money we have spent on average players is very concerning. |

I’m not Taylor’s biggest fan, but at least with him we have two options there. If we can upgrade him, then great.
I’d argue the other midfielder we need more urgently is someone to compete with Azor. |

We found something in the medical that we weren’t happy to risk, not sure what that is, but we pulled out on medical concerns.
Doesn’t mean he’s not fit to play now, bit like Jens and Brentford last year. |

Weird comparison?
Most people including myself have been interested with Sunderland’s approach since they got in the premier league, if you look at their business they clearly would have upgraded him once arriving. |
