Don’t think it’s a case of not wanting to come here, just that he’s waiting to see if a PL club might come sniffing and I don’t really blame him.

If you think she should be getting a Conference league job, why would a league one offer be insulting?
Last time I checked the tables, league one was higher up the ladder than Conference…

They did and I just can’t believe it’s correct.
They titled their table ‘Highest summer spending by newly-promoted clubs’ and listed it as follows.
1 Forest 2022 £157.25m
2 Villa 2019 £144.5m
3 Sunderland 2025 £135.8m
4 Southampton 2024 £108.3m
5 Leeds 2020 £106m
6 Fulham 2018 £105.3m
Surely we spent more than Southampton last summer? |

Utterly staggered to learn on Sky Sports News this evening that Sunderland have now spaffed the third highest summer spending amount for newly promoted clubs, in PL history.
£135m with the caveat of potential add-ons.
We weren’t even in the top 6 spending table after last season’s spree…
Forest, Villa, Southampton, Leeds, Fulham and now Sunderland all spent more in the last 7 seasons.
My gaster is well and truly flabbered, I thought we went pound-spunking bonkers last summer…
Go figure, you do the math…cheapskate American owners etc etc

That particular photo of our Ed modelling it doesn’t really do it justice, simply because your eyes are automatically drawn to that hideous mish-mash of kiddie-scribble someone’s mugged him off to have scrawled all over his arms.
One of those things that is worth investing in, simply because you know someone will pay silly money for it on eBay once it’s sold out, Christmas is approaching and someone desperately needs a flagship gift for a spouse/partner/lover/significant other… |
