I can't get excited about this. Looks like they desperately wanted to fill the space before someone else had an idea of how to use it (or before the club offered to buy it!). It seems to lack imagination. If it gets used well though, that's what matters I suppose.
I'd prefer to see even further expansion of the Cobbled Stand, incorporating a decent sized multi-purpose venue for music etc. with accompanying supporting businesses like bars. |

From City's perspective, another reason to have such a clause is that they effectively get to ensure that a rival club [to them] isn't able to sign him without their say so. So although they may be entitled to say, 20% of any fee, they may opt to actually buy him for 20% less instead to stop the sale, regardless of whether he was their own target signing. Less likely if it did turn out to be a club like Juve having a bid accepted.
Thankfully the player of course has a say in the matter too. |

People need to remember that this was not the decision of the Royal Household, but the wonderful FA, who seem to have single-handedly generated a wave of negative feeling towards the monarchy. Well done them. Another stupendous decision chalked up.
Don't forget to stay in and mourn, y'all... no sneaking off to the rugby, cricket, pub, shopping or other disrespectful pastimes.
PS: people are entitled to feel upset about not going to the football, as are those upset at the Queen's passing. Many fit into both camps. You can't tell people off for being upset. |

If they're severely depleted, then I'm sure they can contrive to get the game off. However, I can't help thinking that it's still a good time to play us - as much as we want them to, I suspect that things on the pitch are not going to change overnight, and we'll still have those off days, or vulnerable periods in a game. That said, maybe we'll actually get some new manager bounce, for once? |

I personally think it's great that the guy isn't just another faceless clone that's had the character bleached out of him by the PR machine. Right or wrong in his opinions, at least he has a profile.
Bloody bad luck for both him and the club with his injuries. Hopefully his recovery will be quicker than the estimate, as is often the case. |
