Most important battle in British history ?
at 22:46 28 May 2021

Maybe the one where Britain as we know it nowadays, was secured, the Battle of Brunanburh in northern England?

King Aethelstan was able to keep England together with victory over northern kingdoms. Who know what British Isles would look if they’d lost and divided.

If we end up with Shefki as manager........
at 13:41 12 Apr 2018

Yes, there were not many people on his side when he got sacked, pretty much got everyone upset with him. Kuqi is a town here, lets keep it that way. Appointing him as ITFC manager would be madness and would end up disaster for sure.

Too bad

He was a real mess as a manager here in Finland. Absolute disaster surrounded with arguments, touchline bans etc even his staff turned against him! Finnish Premier league is nowhere near championship football, so seems like a unfit choice as a manager

NFL London games in 2018 are....
at 05:34 12 Jan 2018

Eagles and Seahawks are proper teams, and will be nice to see. They might even bring some of their "native" fans. It was great to see few years back when Steelers played Vikes and there were hundreds of people from Pittsburgh.

I thought that they had looked into possibility to extend amount of matches in London, but now they silently took away one, which is strange (and worrying). Those Jags could move their franchise to London so we'd had 8 games to follow :)

(american) Football is easily best when watched live. I tell most people who doesnt get it, that pro football is sometimes unbearable to watch even for me from TV because too much commercials and game breakdowns. If you have a chance, go watch it live. Even in europe we have some decent leagues and matches. I've played myself many years and now coach pee-wee football. Its great youth sport, go on and try it, you'll love it!

Top 100 average home attendances across Europe last season

I'm fairly certain that german clubs would be even higher up there, if they simply had bigger stadiums. Bundesliga had something like 90-95% capacity rating.

They really care about their supporters and fanbase there, and not just a milking cows.

Nice to see one Nordic club there (Hammarby). But what's with the Italy, such low figures?

Helsinki Blues?

All right, cheap and Finland doesn't come along very well. So finding a really cheap bike might be a struggle. I've bought one fairly cheap city bike once from Greenbike ( http://www.greenbike.fi/kpyorat_en.html) which was just over 100 euros. Its located in central Helsinki. There is limited parking space there, if you're with a car here.

Camp fuel is sold in every department and hardware store here. Its an easy task to find. Stockmann is a major store in central Helsinki, I think you'd get it from there. Fairly short walk from bike shop. It has own underground parking lot, which costs around 7 euros per hour.

4 hours isn't much, but surely enough to get you a bike, fuel, snacks, etc. Have a nice vacation in Finland. Weather could be better, but cold weather means less mosquitos. But I would strongly advice to buy good mosquito repellant if you're travelling to Lapland! Otherwise they will eat you alive :)

Shefki as Manager

Oh please no. He's been dreadful manager so far here in Finland. Let's just cherish good memories of him rather than getting disastrous new ones... His managerial record and actions have been questionable.
