Would it not make more sense to use the Kookaburra during April, May, & September, when movement off the pitch is more exaggerated? Games in June, July, August, use the Duke. |

Our batsmen had the opportunity in pitch & conditions to make a huge score but instead got themselves out playing stupid shots. So you can say we didn't make the most of our conditions. But in Test Cricket I guess you never ever know! |

India outplaying us. Rahul has been fantastic in this innings. Crawley should go away & study a video of his innings! Bashir & Woakes completely ineffective, 0-300 so far between them. Bashir takes a wicket as I write! England to reconsider their selection of players & pitches! |

Crazy decision to put India in. Handed the momentum & initiative straight to them. They played superbly. We have the bowlers, but not even Jimmy Anderson can take wickets on these dead flat Bazball pitches! Sam Cook & Matthew Potts should play. They are used to bowling long spells match after match. Tongue looks out of his depth & could snap in two at any moment. Your fifth bowler bowling 21 overs says it all. A very bad day at the Test. |

Just cannot understand this? The guy has become a colossus & first name on the team sheet. Was developing into a modern day Butch. Who could possibly not want him? We must have a hell of a player lined up to replace him. If not then it’s a massive mistake allowing to go. |

If it was at Chelmsford or Taunton the Counties would be fined & docked points. Terrible pitch for a showcase game with a day six contingency. Should have held this at the Oval. Ball not carrying to the slip fielders so many times it is embarrassing. |

Obviously condolences to those affected. How does this affect anyone due to fly on a 787 Dreamliner? Will they all be grounded pending investigation? You would think this has to happen on safety grounds? |

I would start with Cook, Carse, Potts, with Stokes. Tongue has a very odd technique, struggled to get anywhere close to 90mph, & will break down. Archer is finished in Test Cricket. Woody out for the whole season & likely finished. Quite what Overton is doing there is beyond me!

Had thought about, but the cost was enormous, even with lots of friends & family over there. Australia is not a cheap destination like it used to be. The travel is expensive, plus it's so hyped & we'll probably get hammered as well. The grounds apart from Adelaide are soulless concrete bowls with no character! I went to a lot of the Ashes over here including all five days at Lords, that was amazing. Could do many other exciting trips using that cost, so decided against it. Going to South Africa for a month instead! [Post edited 3 Jun 11:41]

Our lack of class eventually got exposed as confidence slowly drained out as the season went on. Our inability to mark & tackle, control the ball, our lack of pace, our terrible defending, plus a few injuries, all were exposed brutally at times. Need to regroup & work hard on these things. Won't be easy turning a losing mentality around. Part of the process I think & as long as we adapt, learn from what's happened, & develop, then we should be fine. |

We don’t close down the opposing midfield, there’s no marking, we leave it wide open & runners just flood through us. Defending that must be a nightmare. It’s the same nearly every home game. We have to tighten things up considerably. |
