I would choose Cleverly, fairly experienced & sensible choice.

She was unwell apparently so didn’t attend. Said sh3 would have voted with the Seven & there was one other also, so it’s Nine not Seven.

Just out of interest, what is the total cost of installing the VAR equipment? & is the cost paid by the club or by the Premier League? This might have been mentioned in previous threads but if so I haven’t seen it.

I think Cleverly would be a wise choice.

First time in history that Bury St Edmunds has been anything but Conservative. Jo Churchill had a 25k majority but decided to stand down. She would have held it I think.

It was Farage wot won it for Labour.
at 12:54 5 Jul 2024

I would say congratulations to Labour. As for reasons, the Conservatives shot themselves in the foot, forgot those who voted for them. You're not going to win elections having forced two unelected Prime Ministers on the electorate. Their manifesto was dull & uninspiring. They lost my vote. A very low turnout &:a strong Reform didn't help. Bury St Edmunds fell to Labour for the first time in history! I didn't vote for anyone. It won't be easy for Labour & how will they react to the constant criticism & scrutiny that will come their way?

The amazing Ronaldo
at 21:04 2 Jul 2024

Can’t stand the guy. A serial cheater nearly all his career, & in every match it is all about him! Portugal would be better if they didn’t select him. Crying for missing a penalty, oh for heavens sake. Grown man acting like a spoilt child. Embarrassing. Wish someone would tackle him hard & illegally!

Oh. The Stokie one has gone.

Clearly a pretty decent guy with a thorough knowledge, but he came across as very sanctimonious at times which I think annoyed a lot of folk. Never bothered me, but he was all to happy at times to pile into others who didn't share his views. A good asset to the board though. Hasn't he done this before?

Don’t you think we pay enough already? Aren’t we paying more tax than ever before at present?

Pride, passion, intensity, skill, organisation, belief, fitness, fight, you name it. Everything England don't have.

Anyone else loving Gary Lineker going full
at 21:45 20 Jun 2024

That’s harsh. Lineker played in what was a great team in 1990, lost on penalties having outplayed the Germans. He also played for Barcelona. Shearer was one of the best strikers I’ve ever seen & played in the Euro 96 side which played some great games. Had the country rocking! Again went out on penalties. There aren’t many left who can say they won something with England.

Young Jack Draper is having a very good week. Just beat Carlos Alcaras at Queens Club in straight sets & played really well. He is a very confident & competent player. Has overcome a number of injuries in his career so far. Won his first ATP tournament in Stuttgart on sunday. He has a fantastic left handed serve which will cause many players headaches. Andy Murray can retire now! Commentary team very bullish about British mens tennis. Great to see & hear.

Hit and miss on the quality front this game
at 22:02 19 Jun 2024

Played with plenty of passion & a fantastic atmosphere. What a strike for the Swiss goal. The Scots put in a lot of effort there. No easy games, thought this tournament would be a tad boring, I was very wrong!
