 | News Comment | Town 'Willing to Pay Hackney ÂŁ35,000-a-Week' at 12:37:24
We’re going to have to pay over the odds to attract a player to us versus a lower Prem side. Hopefully the lure of developing under McKenna would also come into play. We have to make the parachute money count while we have it; differentiate ourselves from the other Championship sides and get promoted ASAP - start the ball rolling again. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-2 Wolverhampton Wanderers - Match Report at 18:20:52
Poor second half from the outset. Why wait so long for the changes? I suppose it’s the reality that we know we don’t have reinforcements of the level ready and waiting? That being said Enciso and Morsy looked knackered and they stayed on AND we have people in Philips and Clarke who could adequately deputise. Hate to say it but for such an important game the manager has had an off day. |

Had shades of Bournemouth when they scored - fearing the worst that we’d come away empty handed. Brilliant for the group to get one at the very end like that, you could see it on their faces! Glad we’ve done to them what seems to have happened so often to us. COYB |
 | News Comment | McKenna: We've Given Away a Pretty Soft Goal From Our Point of View at 19:47:50
We did well first half but please don’t lead with the “VAR did us dirty” line again. Penalty was soft but there was contact on his foot. Case closed. We looked good up until that point but didn’t offer a great deal 2nd half. Always feel our substitutes is an are where our squad depth lets us down at this level. Still, we’re well in the mix and losing away to Forest isn’t as bad as getting tonked 4-2 at home or 4-1 away to Brentford. COYB |
 | News Comment | Town Launch Pink Third Kit Designed With Sheeran at 12:51:47
I quite like it. I’m sure it’ll sell well to the Sheeran market. Not sure I see the need to celebrate & promote all things Suffolk mind you. We’re Ipswich Town not Suffolk FC. I would wager many from Framingham aren’t shy in telling you how awful Ipswich is likewise for much of the rest of Suffolk. |

Good to see the tradition continue of a player's natural life cycle; from Ipswich to a more gentle pace of life at Col U. |
 | News Comment | Ashton: The Stadium Will Be Ready at 10:27:09
Surely Kenilworth road had more work to do than PR. They built a new stand! Appreciate they perhaps didn't do some of the the upgrades for the longer term that we are no doing based on them looking to leave for a new stadium. |
 | News Comment | McKenna Representatives Hold Manchester United Talks - Report at 06:21:57
He’ll find that place a bit different. Swap the hungry, motivated players here with lazy & overpaid up there. Are those players going to give him the level of respect needed? They’ve given ETH a rough ride and then here’s McKenna who has not managed in the Prem. What he really, really needs is a season or two with a Premier League team who already have given him all the backing needed… |
 | News Comment | Luongo Signs New Deal at 19:07:18
"It’s a happy place to be with a culture which runs all the way through every area of the club" Imagine hearing that just a few years ago under Evans. Testament to how far the club has come and long may it continue! |
 | News Comment | Keane Refuses to Rule Out Move for Campbell at 14:27:53
Why do we keep wasting our time looking at players that are a) past it b) on huge wages c) never shown any interest in actually wanting to join us in the 1st place I'd rather see us look as signing some young players possibly on the way up (say holland etc) signed from teams where we do actually represent a decent step forward for the player. A hungry up-and-coming players is better in my book than one whose best days are surely behind him - is there nobody like that about? |
