| News Comment | Charlton Tickets Sell Out in Minutes at 12:42:18
@Kentish_Tractor - Hello neighbour! I'm in Plumstead Common. Have been looking forward to going to this match all season, first one I look for on fixture release day, so also very disappointed to miss out. On another note, it is my wife's birthday that day so I can't look too disappointed! |
| News Comment | Away Ticket Price Cap Agreed With 12 Clubs at 11:49:12
@runningout, it would depend on running costs of the club they may be able to get away with charging less than us. It could also be down to the amount of stewarding required for the away fans, some you could get away with very few, others you need an army to keep them in order so you would charge more per ticket to pay for the extra stewards. However, with respect to the other clubs, accepting our cap will guarantee us charging no more than £25 regardless of the extra costs incurred, as a sort of 'good will' gesture. |
| News Comment | Away Ticket Price Cap Agreed With 12 Clubs at 16:56:18
@runningout this deal is for clubs to charge us no more than £25, not for clubs to charge us exactly £25, so those who have said no will be charging more |
| News Comment | Wellens: Town Players Don't Care at 09:23:26
It's about time someone came out and said what most have been thinking for a while now. The only way I can see us going forward is by bringing in lower league players who will be proud to put on the shirt. |
| News Comment | Burley Interested in Old Job at 11:08:01
Unsure about getting Burley back. I think we need a young manager on a long contract say 5 years, with a very long term plan. This season should just be building confidence and playing OUR youngsters. If we go down we go down. Maybe then we could bring in some decent lower league players and get rid of those here for a free ride. If that happens the plan should be promotion straight back up to the championship and then promotion to the Premier League within the next 3-4 years. Thats the 5 year plan. Longer term, within 7-8 years (from now) be established in the top flight and with in 10 years be pushing for Europe. Would that really be that hard to lay down? |
| News Comment | Club Trio Face Fans' Questions at 09:40:16
Interesting read but I have to admit my heart sank when I read this: “This is not going to be a high-risk appointment." So no young and hungry, up and coming manager for us then? |
| Blog Comment | Evans Knows We're Miserable Now at 10:53:31
Good blog! One question I would like answered is IF (when???) we get relegated, will the ticket prices fall? will the season ticket prices fall? I was out of the country for two years and so my 15 year run as a season ticket holder ended, just in time it looks like, I could have got one for this season but could not justify the cost when trying to get back on my feet after being away. If we get relegated I would actually be happy to get a season ticket. New, young, hungry manager, new, hungry players. I think it would do the club the world of good, BUT will the prices be dropped accordingly? If not, then no new season ticket, and not just for me but for a lot. Drop the prices, get the right man in and I think we could be pleasantly surprised at the attendances next season. |
| Blog Comment | Should Jewell Go Now? But What Then? at 10:32:59
TAAARRIIICCO, TAAARRIIICCO, TAAARRIIICCO!!! :D I think that would be a good idea, New to management, fresh ideas, eager to impress and start his career off on the road to success. Still has a feel for the game from playing the odd game now and again (even if he can't go 90 mins without a red card) and those red cards show he still cares and has fight, something the team badly needs. He knows the club and its history, and likes to get the ball down and play they way it should be. |

Such a sad story, it almost brings a tear to your eye. Very well written. Just remember, there are others out there in the same situation. You are not alone. :) |
| News Comment | Doncaster's Friend Linked at 14:45:17
Agree with @bluey420 @bluedart. Why does everyone keep panicking when ever something is mentioned? It is all press related speculation! There is obviously nothing interesting going on at the moment for the papers to report on so lets make stuff up! @SuperReuser & @village_blue I can think of a different reason and no it is not coincidence, We are being linked with a player who's club have probably not had even a text message from us because another club have probably sent an email enquiring about one of our players. Do you all seriously believe every last little thing that you read? Just because it is here does NOT make it true! |
