Sorry to be a bore, though, but winning one of 14 scholarships for Eton doesn't necessarily make him one of the brightest 14 students in the country ... that would assume that every student in the country had applied. Chelsea have had, what is it, 6 managers in 2 years? Ipswich have the potential to become bigger than Brighton, and Man United would surely look for a big manager with very high level experience at this point, although I do get Len's point though. I think agents and media are trying their best to drive a narrative here and, from what Mark Ashton has told us so many times ... ignore the rumour mill, nothing is factual until Ipswich announce it. If he is going, we can be sure that MA will be absolutely ahead of this and doing the best for the club. In Mark we trust :) |

After following Ipswich for 148 years, this is disgraceful. I mean, if our owners had driven through thousands of Norwich fans just before a match, they would have given a welcome cheer and thrown roses. Same for any other derby match, just love not hate. We must have the most aggressive fans in the country.i wish Delia no harm but, come on, she got away very lightly compared to other clubs. Just imagine this happening in Manchester, Glasgow, Liverpool etc etc. |

Doh!! Well spotted. It was a fantastic experience and brilliant weather from what I remember. Seemed like we took over Amsterdam that day and, as Runner says, impeccably behaved. AZ fans were a bit iffy afterwards ... my friend was attacked and got their scarf nicked. Still have an AZ T shirt somewhere. Still fits perfectly of course 😉 |

Not to be picky but we took 10,000 to the San Siro in 2001 and over 7,000 to Amsterdam for the Uefa Cup final in 1981. I was at the Uefa Cup game and best estimates were between 7 and 10,000. John Motson calls it over 7,000 in his highlights commentary so don't be misled by Wikipedia. I need to get a life 😀 |
