I think the real turning point in the game was the ridiculous moment when the sky tv commentary was interupted for the breaking news that Southampton's director of.football Jason Wlicox could be joining Man United. From that moment on the game changed!
West Brom vs Southampton should give us some insight into how the saints will cope with pressure.
And its a big night in Norwich, where the Budgies are hosting a watchalong of their 30 year anniversary of beating Munich. A little reminder of how truly tinpot they are.
Deja vu about that first half. Switch off again and concede after leading. Not sure why Walton wasn't claiming that cross or why he wasn't wearing a cap as he spent most of the half with his hand over his eyes to stop the sun shining in. Jackson anonymous as usual. Need Freddie on at half time. At least Aluko looks lively.
That second half was a complete disaster and Fleetwood were in complete control in the second 45. So many warnings, that we didn't heed. Woolfenden giving the ball away on the edge of the area, Burgess trying backheel on the touchline and only Batty's slip stopped an equaliser. Davis clearing off the line. We offered nothing second half, and games like this will ultimately cost us. Utterly avoidable.
I'm coming to the Bristol Rovers game on Tuesday night and it's been a while since I drove to a game. Where is best to park for a game these days. I should be in Ipswich for about 7 p.m. I remember parking at a school next to McDonalds many years ago but no idea if that is still an option. Any recommendations gratefully received!
Lots of negativity around Thompson and Bakinson but I thought they were both ok today. Seems like people have a constant downer on them. Coulson may be a better full back but he was never fit. And I would have Bakinson in the starting 11 everytime compared with Carroll.
Woolfenden was superb tonight. Great to see him back in the team and looking like the player we all had high hopes for. Nice to see Mckenna talking to him about what he wants him to do with an arm round his shoulder at the end.
