League 1 on Sky Red Button?
at 14:01 6 Aug 2019
Am I right in thinking league 1 midweek games aren't on the sky red button; it is limited to championship games?
Need to therefore buy ifollow match passes instead to access?
Alex Goode (Saracens) used to be in the town academy
at 21:15 11 May 2019
Mentioned on the radio this afternoon that Alex Goode who’s just won the European Cup with Saracens and European rugby player of the year no less, used to be in the town academy.
Anyone know anything more of this? Presumably he quite rightly chose rugby at some stage. But was he really in the academy and a prospect, or was he just on a PDP scheme as such?

We all got worked up about that with Joe Royle, yet he then gave us a few years we’d kill for now, and on hindsight was one of the better Town managers outside the premier league / top flight.
Lamberts very experienced now and that will stand us in good stead, also a top top player, was a captain too. Knows about organising defences from his Dortmund days, let alone management. We need this.
Not sure we could have done any better given our current state, so looking forward. Firstly some organisation, then a few astute signings in January........
Surely he has to go now............

No point in waiting any longer. Kluge and Hogg can take the team on Saturday if ME can’t get someone in before then.
We’re not going to get anyone half decent, but it can’t be any worse than this....
Of more concern is the off field stuff
at 11:35 23 Sep 2018
Yes, dire yesterday and reading the table is dismal.
However, whilst questions remain on the quality we have, there is plenty of time to turn it round.
The team is more than the sum of its parts, so not even so worried about doubts over the quality of the new additions.
It’s the stuff going on in the background that’s of most concern - we have no chance if there really is all this disharmony behind the scenes. If that can be sorted, one way or another with Hurst then we have a chance.
If it can’t then he has to go sadly. Then I fear that Evans would go for an inferior version on Mick e.g. Grayson, with a huge u turn and backward step just to stave of the r word. Whereas what would really be needed would be a unifying character like Burley, or Klug....even if we were to go down......
Without all the backroom noise Hurst needs time......otherwiseME needs to resolve these issues at the club, ideally with Hurst given time, otherwise he has to go....

Hurst mentioned Garner and Adeyemi in his comments, but what about Huws? How far off involvement is he?
18/19 Goalkeeper kit question?
at 13:18 26 Jun 2018
Doesn't appear to be a new Goalkeeper kit out or for sale in the shop.
Does anyone know why / anything about this?
Do they wait to see who is in goal next season (e.g. in case Bart is sold) and what their colour preference is?

Excellent news. Given Hursts comments on recruitment and Bowman having good contacts, do we think The Chalobah connection was alread6 lined up and through Bowman?
Good sign8ng anyway of course...
Ross has played the media well it would appear.
at 17:26 23 May 2018
Whilst we were concerned he was using the media to flush out others interest whilst he was in the frame for town; maybe he was actually using out interest to push Sunderland to complete....I bet they were his 1st choice ....
Up and coming manager seeming most likely.....

Interesting to read comments dismissing this candidate and that.
If ME as hinted is going to move away from the tried and tested, whose to say as to whether Parker is more of a punt than the likes of Ross or Hurst etc. Evans needs to assess that through interview.
Whilst as Ross and Hurst are managing lesser tier clubs, others are managing/coaching youths. Neither will have managed seasoned championship pros, so that’s a step up for any of these candidates. The likes of Parker and Lampard though will immediately have some respect from the players given their former player status. I’m sure Evans will assess who has the best fit for the club and who is best placed to step up.....lets then get behind whoever he chooses.
