The policing of a football match requires policing over and above that normally rostered, therefore officers are paid overtime to resource the match. This a a marginal cost increase over the normal policing budget. It is only fair that the club pick up this extra cost. The clubs argument that they do not control the area around the ground is ludicrous, If they don't, why do they close the road and get their programme sellers to sell on the road and pavements. I love this club but am embarrassed by their stance on this. Even the FA question their morality, which is saying something. |

Apart from the footballing memories, I used to help my dad serve petrol at the Bentley filling station on the A12 and PM used to come in (I think he had a white capri). My dad let me serve him and he always gave me a 50p tip. Boring story I know but for an 11 year old, pure magic. |

The writing was on the wall for Jim, culminating in Akos Buzsaky following team orders and allegedly launching his face into Magic's forehead.
On a serious note, despite having some concerns over one or two of Keano's decisions(e.g. triple substitution against Preston) you have to give a manager time and we are starting to see the rewards, RK seems to be getting some of the basics right and we are on the up. QPR's predicament? well it beggars belief! |

I got to know Tanno for a while outside of PR, he was a great guy and a total dedicated professional, (he didn't drink, unlike some of his contemporaries) and when we lost he would feel the pain for days. On the pitch, he was awesome, especially in tandom with Paul Mason (boy hasn't he let himself go, 70 stone, who would believe it), he was great on the ball, with superb delivery, not unlike his manager at the time, and of course 100% blue. If half the current team showed his level of commitment, we would be flying. Good luck at B&HA and hope to see you back here at some time. |

Took my 6 year old daughter for the first time and she loved it, although she got out her notepad and started doodling during the first half, enough said. Had to choose the right game to take her to all season so as not to put her off and I struck lucky, now need to convince the missus about season tickets.
Keane got the substitutions right yesterday, we looked a totally different side with Counago as play maker, once we scored we looked much sharper and didn't sit back, it just shows that this game is all about confidence. If we can keep that, we should climb the table. |
