Yes, we have shown we can blow away teams who come to take us on, now we need to show we can break down teams who come to low block and if we can show that we are on to something. |

Looks to be a really, really good signing. If Mats, Jens and Nunez can stay free of injury we look to have a really strong midfield. Taylor as a 4th choice is pretty serviceable too |
 | Forum Thread | Great performance and win yesterday BUT at 10:45 13 Sep 2025
Sheff Utd made it easy for us, they gave us space to play in and allowed us to play, and didn't really engage in any of the dark arts. Not going to get many teams taking that approach, and understandably so as look what happens. The litmus test will be can we beat the Derbys and Prestons. I still need to see a few wins ground out against teams that come to defend and spoil before getting on board HMS pisstheleague |

12 million for mcateer still has to be one of the craziest decisions and worst value transfers in the whole of the EFL. he does a job but will never do more than that, I really don't get the signing. |

Usually your stuff is hysterical glass empty and smashed nonsense, but I'll agree with you here, there is no clear strategy it's making up the plan as you go along and when all's said and done it's going to look like a money was pissed up the wall because the club was unprepared for a meteric rose. Got to hope that the money spent improving the clubs infrasctrure, facilities and networks is where the real progress will be made to have a crack at establishing Town as a PL club in the next few years. |

I am hardly a happy clapper and have been concerned particularly about our recruitment, but this level of constant negativity and doom mongering is way over the top. You mention Elephant in the Room twice in your post, is that a hint? |
 | Forum Reply | Too many fullbacks and wingers at 21:57 1 Sep 2025
Bumping this. Why do we need so many right backs. Why did we need mcateer or for that matter Ashley Young AND Furlong. Bizarre couldn't we have kept Chappers and Lose a sodding right back. Fuming at the mess that's being made of this club. |
 | Forum Reply | Wtf are we doing? at 20:42 1 Sep 2025
McKenna had better have a chuffing plan in place otherwise we are stuffed, and he's at the job centre. Putting the medium term future of the club at stake with buying expensive mediocrity and bombing out tried and tested performers for them. |

Absolutely zero chance of this happening, ahead of Szmodics, Akpom and Egeli, are you nuts. Could see him as an attack minded box to box 8 Lampard style but as a ten absolutely not. His close control is far from the required standard to play there and no indication he is creative enough |
 | Forum Reply | Jack taylor at 20:35 1 Sep 2025
Would have been madness to let him go, only 3 ahead of him with 2 starting positions. In a position where injuries are common and we have 2 players that are 'injury prone' in Cajuste and Nunez. No chance we would have let him go without bringing someone else in. He will get plenty of minutes both off the bench and some starts. |

Bit part not big part. He got a few games at the start of the season when LCFC had injuries and soon dropped out the team. Never regained his place. |

I did say this when he signed, and got rounded on for it. I've watched him since he broke through at Leicester, he's an extremely average player, tries hard, has a little bit of pace and makes some good runs and that's IT. Technically speaking, he has nothing. He's like a fullback playing as a forward. A mystifying signing especially at that price and the fact Leicester fans shrugged says speaks volumes. |

Would be incredible if so.... |
 | Forum Reply | Wingers, sorry a moan at 20:32 30 Aug 2025
I agree with this. We're much better with wingers that get behind teams and can go down the line and cut back rather than inverting wingers cutting in and cramming the space even more. Not sure why KM can't seem to see that. |
