 | Forum Reply | Defence of Muric is admirable but misguided… at 01:03 2 Feb 2025
He's an utter utter shambles and I expect that for most of the fanbase yesterday's latest howlers were the final straw. How can any keeper at this level be so mentally fragile and make such consistently poor decisions? He's the worst ever Ipswich signing and I will stand by that. Signing him was an absolute monumental cock up, the one that will cost Town survival this season. [Post edited 2 Feb 4:50]

It's certainly hard to comprehend the signings of Jack Clarke and Philogene. Muric - no need to even go there. On the other hand, O Shea, Delap and Cajuste have been inspired. But KM has got more wrong than right agreed. |

Think the Canaries should be safe for at least another season in the 2nd div after a good win at Watford today panic not my son. |

Ipswich with the exception of last 2 years under McKenna and 2000 play off final have always been a team that crack when the pressure is on as long as I can remember. Seemed like the DNA was breaking but it's back in force again this season. |
 | Forum Thread | Attempt at being balanced/ apology thread at 17:23 1 Feb 2025
Gonna start of by saying that my language towards Muric was totally out of order and born of extreme exasperation. And yes I'm a Leicester fan so my opinion is less valid than most on here but ultimately my heart is with Town over City these days and has been for a good few seasons hence why I post on here. But I do apologise for being out of order. I would like to point out that today, ITFC played the best we've seen in my opinion, as a dominant attacking performance since probably Leicester at home. I've certainly not seen that level of attacking intent, and incisive passing for a good few months from Town. Enciso seemed to make a world of difference, he plays really effectively as a false 9 and gives Delap a license to pick up different positions and be dangerous, he also bring the likes of Hutchinson and Broadly into the game, no coincidence we looked far more dangerous and created more chances than we have done for ages. In fact it was like watching last season's Town again BUT we lost due to having a completely incompetent keeper between the sticks. Say what you want but Muric isn't the difference between 1 point and 3, he is the difference between zero and 3. As has been said in another threads put Ramsdsle on goal and we win that by a 2 goal cushion at least. Town are odds on to go down and I'm afraid to say that signing Muric will be by far and away the biggest contributing factor to that. He's been a complete disaster and I do believe, will go down on Town history as one of the worst signings in the history of the club. To end on a positive though, I will say that Town look much better equipped GK aside to be competitive in games until the end of the season so despite the sickening result today it is not done, however I really think that Kieran has to drop Muric now because playing him is like starting 2-0 down every game. |

Sorry everyone and give me abuse for being a Leicester fan all you like but the truth is I would much rather see ITFC stay up than Leicester all day long, you're a vibrant, upcoming club with great fans as opposed to the pit of negativity and disappointment that is the King Power these days On my posts I admit to being in the wrong and take all the consequences of the posts I wrote in the moment whether that means being banned or whatever, I was emotional and accept that the personal abuse is not on. However, I will not take back the sentiment that Muric is an utter clown, with the instincts of a deer in headlights and the backbone of a jellyfish. Signing him was the error which will most likely relegate Ipswich this season, and I do believe he will be looked back on with disdain by Town fans for years to come. With a decent keeper you'd be 4 or 5 points clear of trouble now. Such a bloody shame. |

Good, was concerned for the Town fans heading home. Lucky it's not the 80s and 90s any more or it would surely have been a different story with the last min winner |

For anyone who went to Wolves, how was it after the game getting out the ground and onto trains etc? Hope there weren't any unpleasant incidents? I've never found Wolverhampton to be a particularly friendly place at the best of times and can imagine the locals would be absolutely spoiling for some agro |

Wes Burns. Dear oh dear. And Muric still in goal.... At least Cajuste gets a game |
 | Forum Reply | Dropping Muric? at 12:54 9 Dec 2024
KM didn't mince his words in blaming Muric for the loss, he didn't name him but talked about an avoidable individual mistake. That's unlike him and shows he must be angry, I'd expect Muric to be dropped to the bench from now on. |

Lack of a left foot is costing him at this level. Wants to use the outside of his right foot all the time, can only go one way, teams know it and are targeting him in the press and catching him out when he turns into trouble |

Liam Delap needs a rest or at least some help. His touch totally deserted him for most of that game and he became a passenger. Szmodics and Delap up front must be worth a look at while we wait for Hurst to come back Morsy desperately needs to develop his left peg, it's essential for a central midfielder at this level. His insistence to use his right at all times led to him turning into trouble a number of times when if he'd trusted his left he would have turned out of it Muric just needs dropping. Not much more too it. Why oh why did we let Hladky go Burgess should be our starting defender from now on. It should be him plus one. Him and O Shea were solid today. Good to see Wes dropped today and hopefully he will only make sporadic cameos from now on, he just isn't anywhere near the level and we looked so much better with him out the team Finally, KM. He is starting to appear like the pressure is getting to him. He is making some very erratic and bizarre decisions and inexperience is showing. From far too cautious on Tuesday to too cavalier today. Plus really questionable subs before and during the game. Where on earth were Cajuste and Phillips, why did he leave Delap on so long. Etc. Not sure what we can do about this other than hope he cracks this very very soon. Overall a very sobering week and survival looks pretty unlikely now, but with the team spirit we have it only takes a couple of results to start a run, we've seen it before so not ruling it out, and maybe it looking like we're dead and buried will relieve the pressure and help players and crucially KM to start performing better |

I created this profile when you got relegated to League 1 and wrote a long post about how we (Leicester) had been through it and came back rejuveated as a club and you would too. Safe to say it's time to change my username as you are well and truly bounced back to the big time. 😉 I've enjoyed your promotion far more than ours which says it all. Best of luck for next season - from a Foxes fan and honourary Tractor Boy |

We are absolutely horrendois and have pissed away a golden chance to establish ourselves as a top 10 prem side for many years through 3 years of mismanagement. Both Rodgers and at board level. We deserve all the years ahead in the Championship that are waiting us. Silver lining this year for me is of course Ipswich going up. I reckon you'll take 4 points off us next year and finish a couple of places higher. |

Obviously Leicester!!! Would be the perfect weekend following Ipswich going up for City to get out of the bottom 3 and simultaneously plunge a dagger into Everton and Dyche's hearts. I think you'll be able to keep Hirst regardless of the division we're next year to be honest. |

So pleased for Ipswich. You boys totally deserve this, great support despite years and years of suffering. Great club, it's brilliant to see you on an upwards trajectory at last. For context I created this account when you went down. Things have come full circle. It might be time to delete my account or at least change name. From a Leicester fan, adopted Ipswich fan and serial forum lurker. Hope we play you in 2 years time in the top league. Looks like we'll probably be playing you next year as it is. Enjoy the moment lads and hope your team aren't too plastered for the 100 pts 100 goals. |
