I thought Kipre was outstanding - big, confident, good in the air and a strong tackler. He looked comfortable and not much, if anything, got past him. We have 4 decent central defenders now.
Overall a good performance, but hey a pre-season friendly. |

Will be interesting to see if the new '8 second rule' for goalkeepers will be invoked by refs and award a corner. '6 second rule' was always generally ignored. They were going to make it a yellow card for a second offence, but that has now been changed to frequent breaches of that law. |

Bryan Knights was a top guy, who I am sure was a school teacher and managed the very successful South Suffolk schoolboy team in the 70's as well as being the PA man at PR. I recall having a long chat with him at one of our Bolton away play off games. |

I remember seeing this tragedy develop live on TV in 1985 and it was horrendous. Seeing the man with his coat on fire running away from the burning stand as the reporter was emotionally saying 'oh that poor man' as other fans were trying to pull him to the ground to extinguish him. The BBC2 documentary last night very well put together and highly emotional. It is well worth watching. [Post edited 12 May 8:33]
