Have England ever picked a more uninspiring top 6 in a test match?
at 15:57 20 Nov 2019
The opposition wouldn't mind the more flamboyant top six of Roy, Bairstow, Vince and Moeen. The reason they have been dropped is because we have continually been bowled out in under 90 overs for scores of under 250, always being 50-3.
Burns has scored the most first class runs by opener in the last 5 years.
Sibley has really kicked on since tweaking his technique to play a fraction straighter.
Denly ground out runs in 2019, if he fails in NZ he's finished in the test team
Root needs to find his batting mojo and pressure is on him to deliver.
Stokes is the best around player at all formats in the country.
Pope averages 60 for Surrey batting at 6, not at 4 like his test matches last summer.
No excuses or hiding behind the World cup style of batting, a new coach who won't take any rubbish.
Good for the environment, or just saving money?
at 11:37 19 Nov 2019
Well done Center Parcs.
Wouldn't it be better for the environment to take your own and recycle it, rather than expected to be given freebies and using loads of little plastic containers which never get recycled and just get slung in the general waste bin.
First world problems.
Brexit ruins Christmas
at 13:40 30 Oct 2019
The point being made is Christmas should only be about the coming of our lord and saviour Jesus Christ and not a materialistic life.
The teachings of Matthew 21:12–13 tells us Jesus and God are to be worshipped and not to be used commercially to make money, this is why he flipped the tables of the money makers and drove out the money makers.
"Take these things away; do not make my Father's house a house of trade."

Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them, for this is the law and the prophets

Christmas is too materialistic and completely commercialised, forget Brexit and remember we should be celebrating the coming of our saviour Jesus Christ.
And making a whip of cords, he drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and oxen. And he poured out the coins of the money-changers and overturned their tables. And he told those who sold the pigeons, "Take these things away; do not make my Father's house a house of trade"
And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money changers, and the seats of them that sold doves, And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.
— Matthew 21:12–13
Could Norwich be even more tinpot if they tried?
at 08:35 16 Oct 2019
Tin pot club but it was raising money for local charities.
They were aiming to raise £1 million with the old foe matching every pound raised up to the first £500k, it makes Evans tiny donation to the Beattie statue look tin pot.

Not sure if it has been mentioned on here, did everybody see the Reading fans complain about Mark Bowen the director of football making himself the new manager yesterday?
at 13:20 9 Oct 2019
How is this news?
It's a picture, everybody will have a different interpretation of it as we were not there.
None of our business.
More Brexit and Trump please.

Not 100% accurate, as Boncho missed at least two (Sheff Wed and QPR) in the relegation season

He wants a club, to be closer to his family in London.

We use to wonder where the got all the money from, they had two really good pro's who played first class cricket.
But loaned them out to other local Suffolk clubs on Saturday's and played them in the Sunday league which you couldn't get promotion into the East Anglian premier league.
Funny old lot, a different 8 players every time we played them.
