They made £2k less from a season with considerably less games - clearly the price increase does make more money as everyone else that’s responded on the thread seems to have grasped
Notwithstanding my comment above there is truth to this in games like this
The desire to keep possession makes sense in top level games where teams are deadly in transition. But in games like this the ball is coming back straight away anyway so it doesn’t really matter if taking a risk fails
There’s probably something to be said for consistency of patterns etc but then tactics and approach should be tailored for different opposition anyway so I’m not sure that really washes either
So what, it should be a treat to get there. Lots of people missed out on tickets to Ipswich games last year, maybe we should have moved all of our home games to Wembley too
And the Coventry away game while still in high priority bands:
remaining Manure tix…. by C_HealyIsAPleasure29 Jan 18:55 Given it’s only on sale to 20+ atm all this shows is that the hardcore attend every game camp don’t want to go when it’s lower league opposition
If there’s still loads available after they’ve got to general sale you’d have a point, but then there was a similar thread for the Bristol Rovers game when tickets were only on sale to members and that ended up being a sell out
Funnily enough both ended up selling out once more widely available
Incredibly decorated player that 80% of the country have consistently labelled as sh*te - can make a strong case that he’s the most underrated player of a generation rather than the opposite
Haha indeed but that’s why I’m surprised, I’d have thought the further hike in prices this year would have got more pushback given the way last season unfolded and relegation
Using Southampton at home as an example, equivalent tickets in upper Churchmans:
2023/24 - £34 2024/25 - £36 2025/26 - £43
Scale of increase just seems to have slipped completely under the radar
