Well done Ben for bringing Portman Road's pitch back to its glory. We were always highly credited for our pitch in the early 2000s before Ferguson (I think!) went to St George's. Glad we're back to receiving that recognition and it'll be interesting to see how the hybrid pitch looks. |

Can't blame the family for taking the quick route to money. At the end of the day, that's how business is these days and we do it ourselves.
What bugs me is the fee. Sure, it's a decent amount for an unproven lad, but could we not negotiate to have it as fee + player? There's enough in their reserve team that wouldn't mine a regular spot in a Championship team who'd be of a good quality! |

It's exactly why video replay is required in the game, these days. It works wonders for hockey and american football. A minor delay to review during the next stoppage of play is enough (and can be brought up by assistant refs or managers). |
