Ipswich Town 2-0 Huddersfield Town - Match Report
at 15:45:16

The magnitude of this achievement cannot be overstated. So few clubs have done what we did today. About the time we sacked big Mick, I predicted that we'd struggle badly. Little did I know that we'd struggle quite as badly as we did. As soon as the new ownership model was made public and we signed a very well regarded, young and hungry coach, I saw the green shoots of regrowth. I predicted a top 10 finish this year with maybe a play off adventure next. At that time, back to back promotions to the promised land was only fantasy. I can't thank the club and their backers enough. Made an oldish man very, very happy!

Hull City 3-3 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 13:10:23

What a fantastic game to watch, although my nerves were shot to bits. Both sets of players left everything out on the pitch. Real shame we couldn't hang on for those last few minutes. All the best to Hull and Liam Rosenior, another young manager doing a fantastic job. I've seen some ups and downs for our club after attending my first match, as a 5 year old, in 1978. I don't remember much until about the 81/82 season, with vague memories of being able to tell our teachers that Ipswich had won the "you f*#k up". Heard "We Are The Champions " played after most home matches. However, not since the Burley era have I felt so positive about our fantastic club. Even if we miss out this season, we will come strong again next. I hope McKenna will stick around to guide us up. His stock must be very high at the moment.
Leicester on the beach, Coventry dispirited, Leeds draw with Southampton and Huddersfield terrible. Suddenly we're champions. A man can dream. COYB.

McKenna: Davis Limping Pretty Heavily
at 12:54:34

I can imagine that we can get a point at Coventry without Leif. I'd want him back for the Huddersfield game as he is so integral to our chance creation. Both Burns and Hirst looked a little rusty but we have ample cover in those positions. In Kieran (and the tem) we trust to get us four more points. I can scarcely believe that we're even talking about automatic promotion anyway.

McKenna: Officials Apologised For First Two Preston Goals
at 11:56:20

They were both terrible decisions but I can remember us getting away with strong penalty shouts earlier in the season. Unfortunately, officials will make errors and many of the Prem officials just let things go, hoping that VAR will correct it later. I don't think that officials that are, routinely, relying on VAR should officiate a non-VAR game.

Charlton Confirm Ladapo Loan Move
at 20:40:01

Thank you Freddie for some fantastic memories of the 22/23 season. I hope you fly at Charlton and bag a load of goals for them. IF we go up this year, and it's still a tall order, we need championship players in all positions and Freddie doesn't fit the bill. He's a wonderful League 1 player who couldn't make the transition to the higher division. I trust in M/A and KM to replace him with someone who'll complete in the Championship.

Cardiff Eyeing Tuanzebe
at 17:27:46

I'm not sure what Axel's fitness situation is but he's definitely the calibre of player we need, if we were to be promoted. Hopefully his back condition is either solved or can be managed effectively. He's, hands down, the best centre back we have at the club. Why would he consider a move to Cardiff? Just to play more minutes?

McKenna: We Know We're in For a Massive Challenge
at 14:29:20

@Steve_ITFC_Sweden I feel the same way. Would have preferred a draw or Leeds defeat. Leeds are starting to look a little ominous, hopefully some of their firepower will be preached from them in January.

O'Neil: We Came Up Against a Side in a Good Vein of Form
at 15:17:32

In essence, O'Neill has sort of got it right. Although we made 9 changes from Saturday, the entire squad has KM imprinted on it. Also McKenna can coach on the fly, after around 15 minutes he tweaked the system and we became more solid, with an attacking threat. Wolves did look disjointed and we're full of confidence. Great to see Jack Taylor on the score sheet and Hutchinson has the potential to be a fantastic player, I just hope Chelsea don't cut his loan short. COYB

Burgess: Different Teams Bring Different Challenges
at 14:12:56

@Linkboy13 I think that's a fair assessment. Although we controlled large portion of the game, we did make mistakes that led to chances for Rangers. Hladky pulled off a couple of good saves and conceding a goal might have changed the shape of the game. Saying that, we created enough chances to win easily, but we need to cut out some of the mistakes or we could be punished by more clinical finishing. I thought Ainsworth's comments on the game were designed to keep his players' morale up. We deserved it on the day.

Town Rebuff Hull Edwards Approach
at 14:03:59

Kyle is a naturally gifted footballer and he will play a role before the end of the season. His end product does need improvement and sometimes he fails to see the bigger picture around him. Having said that, crossing the ball (accurately) while running at pace is one of the hardest skills in the game. Our forwards just have to gamble and get into space then hope the ball finds its way to them. That's one reason why Beckham was such a legend. Apart from his range of passing, he could cross while on the run consistently.
Again, I feel Edwards will play a part in our promotion push. COYB.

Stewart: I’m Pretty Strong Psychologically and I’m Just Getting On With It
at 14:35:58

One of the best we've ever had. It's a scandal that he didn't get an international call up after the 2000/2001 season. I wish you all the best Marcus, I have very fond memories of you, particularly when you scored at Leeds on my wedding day!

Morsy Charged By FA
at 13:06:53

Even Ethan Hamilton described as a "shove stroke punch to the face"sic. He ws cheating, like most of the rest of the Accrington team throughout the entire match. Luckily football won on the day and not gamesmanship and cheating. You better start drinking your milk Accrington boys or you'll be stuck at that club trying to ruin football matches. I don't think Holt was describing Morsy as a "sh#t-house" in a deregatory manner, I'm thinking the more brick outhouse scenario. Morsy was immense in that game and stood up to the bullying and cheating and was instrumental in our winning the game. Would hate to lose him for four games.

Morsy Charged By FA
at 12:43:44

From the footage itlooks like he shoved him in the shoulder to stop the Accrington player holding him. Then the bloke goes down like he's been caught right on the button. Accrington did everything they could to slow the game down, niggle and foul and fall over like pansies evry time a Town player went near them. It was a satisfying victory against a "typical" League one team. All 7' tall, putting themselves about and falling over at any given opportunity. If this video is the only evidence to back up a violent conduct charge, I don't see violent conduct. I see a player shoving the shoulder of another player who's trying to hold him (i.e. cheat). You can see Morsy's hand is open and he shoves his shoulder, even if he made some contact with his face, it would have been a very minor impact and didn't warrant the Accrington player going down holding his face. Again, cheating by feigning injury to get another player disciplined. Again, a very satisfying victory against opponents who play-acted, were very physical and lacked any real quality. Their midfield was only involved in the game when we were in possession.

Cook: Things Are Taking Shape

@atty. You understand correctly, we are spending the pension funds of Arizona firefighters, amongst others. From the research I've managed to get done, it's a drop in the ocean though.

Patience is the key. Even if we sign more of "the right sort" of players, we still have to give the staff and players to get things right on the pitch. Plenty of noise and encouragement from the stands is what's needed. We all need to play our part in our club's recovery. COYB
