Strange one this.
Have all the people on here who want to dive in and try and steal him away from Sven:-
(a) ever watched him play, he is average at best and I just don't see him adding anything to us and as Essexnblue says he is hard work and our dressing room is pretty much together as one at the moment
(b) realised that he might not want a move to Suffolk
(c) not got faith in PJ to bring in someone better now we have some more transfer cash - Caulker or another strong young CB on loan working with Delaney or Ivar would be far better IMO |

Difference now is that players WANT to play for us with Keane gone.
Rhodes like a lot of others just didn't fit Keane's aggresive approach and style of play, where as PJ has a proven man management record. Sadly water under the bridge now, Austin is a better player than Rhodes anyway by the look of him - so lets hope that we can get him in. |

An excellent article and I do think there is every reason to be positive about things at the moment. Play offs and promotion may be a step too far this season and we just aren't ready to return to the top table just yet anyway, let's rebuild properly first so when we go up we stay up. What we do need is hungrier players who are committed to the club rather than a reliance on loan signings (although Bullard does fill a long needed playmaking gap) and I like the way PJ is looking at lower division options that fit our wage structure better.
