I actually like this as an idea in the context of a season where we recognise we're not necessarily top 2 shoe-ins... imagine giving Humphreys a chance to shine in a role he is genuinely suited to
Funny feeling we are going to have a very strong second half to season and be play off favourites but also think we're going to take too long to settle to be in the top 2 race |

You've done Welbeck dirty there I'm afraid - absolute quality player who has achieved a lot while playing in a selfless manner.
Was really taken by just how well the ball stuck to him when we played them at the AMEX as well.

I think Muric has some fundamental flaws to his play as well as goalkeeping that I've commented on at length elsewhere
however I think these can be coached out of him

bit lucky to get a point really
something still a bit off about trying to play the old version of a McKenna system with new players
O'shea greaves palmer better players than Woolf burgess hladky probably
but when you see us trying to pull the opposition apart with the same tactics , seems less convincing
missed Morsy
we still need to sign about four players let's be honest

We really need him to play on Friday now though and I wonder if McKenna has perhaps got that performance out of him now he has handled this situation deftly. For a prospective buyer, it's actually not a great look if you sulk out of the season opener - if he plays and scores against B'ham he is catching everyone's eyes on a night where there is no other football on and people are desperate for football |

I wonder if we will go with a bit of a counter attack, sucker punch approach on Friday though. We are going into the game with our squad under resourced, away to one of the best teams in the league, off the back of a season where we've gotten used to digging in against quality sides.
